Students reflected on the question ‘How does a story change me?’ This morning. “A story can save my life.” “The Darkest Dark taught me there is life beyond this world.” There is power in a perfectly placed book. ❤️@EdgemontCBE

This morning students in grade 2 asked the question ‘Does the size of the country mean more Olympic medals?’ We explored what kinds of data we would need to collect in order to come to a deeper understanding. What story does the data tell us? @EdgemontCBE

Today on National Indigenous Veterans Day I had the honour to teach beside my @StMarysUC student teacher. We shared stories and symbols that highlighted some of the contributions and sacrifices these men and women have made. For this we honour and thank them.

This afternoon we learned a new game called code breaker. Students discovered patterns and relationships among numbers to 100. We quickly noticed that the secret code was adding and subtracting by ones or multiples of ten!

HUB students explored storytelling this week through the use of loose parts. We listened to the story 'Rainbow Crow' and chose personally meaningful materials to retell the story in their own words. What a range of ideas we had!
