With so much travel I have realised one thing very clearly that your behaviour is not going to change by visiting a pilgrimage. You need to work on yourself and become a better person or else it will be a cycle of punya and paap. No point.
That's what I am focusing on. Mahakal🔱
Completed 12 Jyotirling yatra in the span of 2 years and the last ones were Somnath & Nageshwar (recent vsist). Have travelled so much in the past couple of years it's surreal. Kumbh, Kashi, Ujjain, Ayodhya, Pancharama Kshetras and so much more. Mahakal makes it happen 🔱❤️
A lot of people post here about remedies for financial problems, indeed wealth is extremely important, & one must try his best to earn money through auspicious means,
But I'd like to share an anecdote only to say that even many great men & women have gone through financial problems, so do not let it consume you,
Swami Vivekananda's family had to go through a lot of problems due to a property dispute with his uncle, fighting the case caused huge financial loss & debt,
Frustrated by the prolonged financial problems & lack of peace at home, oneday Swamiji went to Sri Ramkrishna & said
"If Ma is so powerful why can't She solve my financial problems?"
RK said "Well yes ! She must ! Why don't you go & ask her for money?"
Swamiji said " Yes I will and I will do it right now"
Swamiji walked to the temple with conviction, & sat down at Ma's feet with folded hands,
But as soon as he looked at Ma's face he fell silent, he felt that his problems were too petty to even talk about, his heart overflowed with emotions & tears filled his eyes,
When he opened his mouth to ask for money he found himself saying "Give me knowledge, give me devotion, give me faith, give me courage, give me intellect, give me renunciation, give me your blessings "
When he returned back to RK, RK asked if he had asked Ma for money, Swamiji said " I couldn't "
RK smiled & so did Swamiji
🙂🙏
Earlier oneday I had thought that I’d write a thread explaining certain things regarding the Shakta sampradaya, but then felt that there is no point in it, because people don’t want to know, they are only interested in engaging with reactionary attitude from the standpoint of their own sampradaya, or from their own ignorance,
Still today I felt I should try just one last time, so here it is:
What is Kula/Kaula?
Kulachar is tradition of Kula, the word Kaula means ‘of the Kula’. Kula means lineage, but we are not talking of a bloodline here. This Kula is lineage of gurus. Guru chooses one or a few of his disciples to carry forward the tradition of his lineage, so on & so forth.
There is an elaborate process of giving diksha to a disciple, about which I will post about some other day. All who are given diksha do not automatically get the right to give diksha to their own followers. Only those who are selected by the guru are given permission to do so. Others can carry on with their own sadhana for their own spiritual pursuit.
What is Vamachara?
In the Kula tradition, there are two paths, one is the right hand path, Dakshinachara, one is the left hand path, Vamachara. The rituals & practices of the two paths differ in their way of approach. Which path is suitable for someone is decided by the guru.
What is Panchamakar?
In the Vama tradition there is a particular ritual which involves use of five substances, the five Ms, which is adequately famous. Whether a disciple will need to do this particular ritual or not is decided by the guru.
If the guru decides that this particular disciple will need to do the ritual, he will either teach it himself or he will send the disciple to another guru who is proficient in the ritual to learn to do it correctly.
Once the decision is made, the disciple will have to give up these five things, meaning he can no longer use/consume these five things for his own pleasure in his personal life. Henceforth he can use these five things only for ritual.
This ritual is not done regularly but only on particular occasions, as per the guru’s guidance.
About use of meat, fish & alcohol -
Offering meat, fish or alcohol(rice liquor) is done as a part of bhog in certain temples or according to tradition of the family doing the puja. Consumption of these as Prasad is mandatory for the yajman, not for others. Daily diet has got nothing to do with it, which can be veg or non-veg according to personal choice or family tradition.
These things are never put into the yajna kunda.
About Bali -
Bali is neither restricted to Shakta sampradaya nor to Vamachara. More than adequate scriptural evidence has been posted by many knowledgeable people here.
Jai Ma🙏
Failed at a lot of things in recent times and ofcourse this entire year has been a year of failure. A year of trying to over achieve and not being able to achieve anything at all. Still I feel blessed about being present and experiencing things more than life.
I see change coming my way which I am excited about (not worried) after a long time. It's slow, steady and very material in nature. Learning a lot about myself and accepting where I am at the moment. Probably the effects of entering Kartika Masa.
Jai Shri Mahakaal
Belated Happy Birthday @__ILLUMINATED
Out of all the qualities you have, one which I appreciate the most is that you are a good friend. Rare thing these days. Have a blessed year. Jai Shri Mahakal 🙏
The one and only.. Lord of death, transformation, and new paths and liminal consciousness. Older than Time itself. Shiva himself is Bhairava.
Om Bhairavaya Namah.
