@xcharliegoldx People used to say stuff about my lips and then lip injections started happening. People always attempt to take something they feel is a flaw and run with it. Now I just watch while they run, knowing sooner or later they are gonna trip.
My girlfriend just took out a calculator in order to figure out how many years it had been since she slept with a man. Happy silver anniversary of no penis, babycakes!
Witnessing the decline of someone who has Alzheimer’s has given me a lot of fuel to write with. It’s the feeling that I’ll quickly lose control of my own feelings and pen that prevent me from starting. It’s that painful. #writingcommunity#Alzheimers#mother
@agmiller31@rgay I’m forever amazed at how large Nebraska is. The small towns can be a bit scary to move to if you’re not white but I’m paving the way. People actually wave to you when you’re driving. I thought they were making other gestures until i realized nope - that’s a steering wheel wave.
@rebeccamakkai I’d be so tempted to say “I found some!” And then ask if I was allowed to come play again. I don’t do well with scolding even when I “deserve” it. Much respect for behaving.
@mkroghwriting I like the “flee” and “grasp” along with “strands” as it perfectly captures that feeling from my childhood too. It also reminds me how easily I surrender those moments as an adult. I’ve come to accept it instead of squeezing every moment I can from it. Really great writing.
@BigHern Oh my God. This is The is the guy who tried to sleep with me in college. Him: but you can’t get pregnant unless you cum. Me: so why should I do this again?
@BigHern @JuliaLoken First: I see your arranged by color books, Jules, and I want to cry cuz I miss you so much. B: Steve, Jules will have any game you bought mastered ... wait. She already has, hasn’t she?
I am so incredibly stuck. I wrote a book about a white heterosexual woman on a quest to be her authentic self. At one point in my life I identified with this character. Now I don’t. And now I struggle to even like her most days. Sucks. #WritingCommunity#LGBTQIAwriters
@GwenBenaway There is a type of shame that a person can feel when a person who witnesses the mistreatment does nothing. I can’t say that I’ve been in your situation but I have been in situations where a person’s silence says I don’t matter or that they agree with the treatment & it’s awful.
