@nextlevelbb There is a great blog that @TewksHitting did a while back about what all the greats had in common... they make the little things, the details, a priority. Definitely Worth the listen with tons of truth.
Life is so precious. It’s sad that incidents like this are the ones that remind us. Hug tighter, give an extra kiss, and make sure you tell the ones you love how you feel tonight. I’m sure Blake wishes he could one more time. 💔
Update: the names of the victims in the Virginia triple homicide have been released. Tampa Bay Rays minor leaguer Blake Bivens wife and child are among three killed according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. https://t.co/zXaHDbuDHo

RHP Mason Dado (St. Croix Central, 2021) has had a stellar summer in front of our staff, and it continues today. Sitting 80-83 mph, T84, with life in the zone. Still finding feel for the CB, but it's getting there; backdoor'd one here 👇.
1,506 baseball players are in the NCAA transfer portal as of today...Dudes, make sure you choose the right FIT, and not just go with the biggest name that comes calling. “Fit” is everything when it comes to your college experience! #TheMoreYouKnow

WI: Speaking of Monday's showcase, we'll be seeing RHP Austin Baker (@oldabebaseball, 2022) there. He's sitting 76-79 mph in the first for @KardsAcademy with hard run. Mixing in a sweeping SL earning some swings and misses. Really loose and easy arm.

WI: @KardsAcademy's 16U team earned a big 12-0 win this evening behind Evan Long's (Tomah, 2021) four-inning shutout. Consistently works FB up in zone, hard, 78-81, T82. Cuts it when he wants. Lots of strikes in an athletic/projection frame. Sweeping slider, too.

Congrats to Kards 15u player @gaberuth25 for the outstanding individual award for a great year! Well deserved for a talented and high character kid. #kardsrollin

Finding joy everyday is so important. A lot of the times it’s in the simple things like watching your son enjoy the park on a Saturday. Soon he won’t want to go to the park with Dad so today I choose to just enjoy this moment in time. #bewhereyourfeetare
Congratulations to 15u Kards player @gaberuth25 on a great year as a freshman on the state champion @Huskybb35. You have a bright future and we look forward to seeing your continued growth. Keep working. The best is yet to come.
Congratulations to @Huskybb35 on winning @wiaawi D-1 State Championship! Product of culture, toughness, and leadership. Wow what a game and a group of impressive young men.
Players:
Don’t big-time small college coaches during your recruitment because these are the schools you are going to be transferring to after you get cut in the fall your freshman year or when you can’t get on the field in the spring.
You’re welcome.
@Treymeister89 My question for you would be how much baseball have you actually played. Has it been your job? It becomes a different animal when it’s played professionally and not just for fun. I didn’t mind guys looking at it and admiring a bit when they got me, but don’t disrespect me.
There is no problem w/emotions & enjoying the game unless it clouds judgement. The problem with bat flipping is it screams “look at what I did” in a team game & disrespects the ability of your competition. Act like you’ve been there, compete, be consistent not a flash in the pan.
My job. To represent and protect my tribe. To put in front of my warriors every potential outcome they could see in baseball. Assume nothing. Prepare them so when the game starts you have confidence in them that you can just let them play. Baseball is not life-relationships are.
On our last podcast @PeteyBaseball talked about players getting 5% better or 5% worse when adversity hits them in games. It’s something he makes decisions off of when recruiting. That’s not an anomaly. That’s the norm.
