So objects that orbit the earth stay in orbit because of the speed at which they orbit. They are not actually in zero gravity but in a perpetual free fall towards earth. Correct?

So earth in the same sense is not in zero g......

And the sun orbits the center of our galaxy... and what keeps it in place is the speed in which it orbits.
