Safaricom plans to introduce Sh800 monthly internet with speeds from 10 Mbps.

A Kenyan will sit next to you at dinner, eat your food, laugh at your jokes and complain about everything with you. Not once will they mention that they have been in a visa process for two years, passed their English test, secured a job offer, shipped their belongings and booked a one way ticket.
One Tuesday morning you wake up to a photo of them in a winter coat somewhere that is clearly not Nairobi. Caption: New chapter. Grateful heart. God did.
Their mother found out the same time you did.
This is not dishonesty. This is survival strategy perfected over generations. Kenyans have learned through painful experience that announcing a plan is the fastest way to kill it. Tell someone you are applying for a visa and suddenly everyone has an opinion. Aunties begin praying against it. Colleagues develop a strange interest in your affairs. Someone tells someone and the energy shifts.
So the process goes underground. Head down. Mouth closed. Documents moving. Prayers private.
And before you judge them for keeping secrets, know that some of these people did not even tell their spouses. Not because of trust issues. But because a spouse has a mother. The mother has a prayer group. The prayer group has a WhatsApp group. And that WhatsApp group has that one member who will fast and pray specifically against your visa.
So is this superstition, self protection or have we been hurt enough times to trust nobody with our dreams until they are already real?
And be honest. Are you currently silent about something right now?
Dismas wa Tabu. Dreaming in installments. Billed in full.
Her husband told a court she was too strong to be a wife. The judge agreed and stripped Wangari Maathai of everything, her family, her job, her home.
She looked around and noticed women walking miles every single day just to collect firewood. So she handed them seeds instead. The government responded with arrests, beatings, and a padlocked office door.
30,000 women trained. 51 million trees planted across Kenya. Nobel Peace Prize in 2004. They handed her destruction. She turned it into an entire forest.
US Presidents have 2 official residences: the White House & Camp David. In other words, 1 state house & 1 state lodge.
Currently, Ruto has about 15 official residences: 3 state houses & approx 12 state lodges. He wants to build another lodge in Meru.
Are Africans normal? 🤔

Happening in Nanyuki right now. The government has decided that the Ebola facility at Laikipia Airbase is going ahead, whether residents like it or not. Buses are said to have arrived last night, and the crowds out today are massive, even bigger than the Finance Bill maandamano. Nobody can tell who’s who anymore. Are these hired goons brought in to cause chaos, or genuine protesters who travelled to stand with the people of Nanyuki? Nobody knows. What we do know is that the government’s answer to citizens raising grievances has been gunfire. This is what it looks like when a state stops listening.
CNN source: Americans arrived in Laikipia Airbase yesterday as plans for US Ebola isolation facility go ahead despite court order.
Current US & Kenya governments - both Trump & Ruto administrations - have a history of ignoring court rulings they don't like
Willingly accepting to import Ebola into your country has got to be most treasonous act ever done to a people by their leader in any country. This greed is too much.
The US is 17 times the size of Kenya with enough space to test nuclear weapons and stage a moon landing. Its health facilities are amongst the best in the world. But when it comes to Ebola, Kenya is a better dumping ground. WE HAVE NO COUNTRY HERE should be our new national slogan
