Volunteers needed for the Animal Protection Law Database 🐾
Animal protection proposals in China have now entered formal legislative channels. In 2025, proposals for a Companion Animal Protection and Management Law were formally reviewed by a National People’s Congress committee.
That makes reliable comparative data increasingly important. Legislators, journalists, investigators and advocates need to know what other jurisdictions actually protect, prohibit and penalize, with sources they can cite.
We’re comparing animal protection laws across 29 jurisdictions and need volunteers to help verify and annotate the data against original legal sources before publication.
No legal or technical background required. Most jurisdictions take about 20–60 minutes.
English and Chinese reviewers welcome. Readers of Japanese, Korean, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch or Portuguese are especially helpful.
Contributors can be credited or remain anonymous.

@MichelleObama A dog in China was killed by 4 boys ,they killed her puppies and set the mother dog on fire. No animal laws in china. They put it on the internet. The dog was called wang, wang. Help us get justice for wang,Wang.
76 days later: still no law. Still no justice for Wang Wang and her puppies.
China is selling tourism. Don’t buy it until cruelty is a crime.

They have no voice, no power to escape suffering, and no legal protection of their own—so we MUST be theirs! Together, we will stand united in love, courage, and unwavering hope to demand justice for WangWang, her precious babies, and millions of voiceless animals who deserve safety and respect.
Every single life holds value, and love demands protection. It is time to end the silence, turn our compassion into action, and call on China to enact long-overdue animal protection laws and hold abusers accountable.
Join us in Berlin for two peaceful, heart-centered protests to light the way toward a kinder, more merciful world.
As Mahatma Gandhi famously reminded us, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." A society’s true compassion shines through in how it defends its most vulnerable creatures.
Please stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us in Berlin. Bring your heart, bring your signs, and bring your voice for WangWang, her puppies, and every innocent animal waiting for justice.
If you would like to support and help as a volunteer in these two peaceful protests, please contact the organizer Andrea via Facebook.
