This article speaks of the continued police force struggle in my home city of Baltimore. This heightened racial tensions. "'[The police] have no understanding of what ... things mean in Baltimore.'"

It's hard to see so much disparity of healthiness between the poor and between races. As Ts, we need to be aware of these disparities and intentional. Little things done for families make a huge difference in the health of the next generation. #GCCEDUC
It’s relieving to hear of research with the possibility to revamp the way ELLs are treated in schools...as continual learners, like the rest of us are.

Noisli and Microsoft Learning Tools are FANTASTIC resources for students with Learning Disabilities, and just all students in general! Definitely going to be using Noisli in the very near future to help me with all my study sessions...so helpful!!

Two things to take into my future classroom:
1. Use Epic! to give students the opportunity to hear stories orally or in video form to help them better understand.
2. Take very smalls steps. Remember that children are children & need explanation. #gccedu#specialeducation
@TASHtweet
TASH helps persons with severe disabilities and entire communities by using research-based practices to ameliorate everyone's lives. #gccedu#specialed
Transition services: There are so many helpful resources provided by PA, to ensure that all Ss receive the better quality of life and independence that they deserve. Check out this site: https://t.co/U9aI5yKX7l. Adulting is hard--help your Ss out!! #ggcedu
EI education is important to Middle Level educators:
With so much intense, ongoing support, and maximum independence of the child, educating the child will hopefully go much more smoothly. Displaying dedication enhances trust. #gccedu
To support parents in the classroom, I will provide ongoing communication like newsletters or updates on a class website, as well as asking specific parents how their job search is going, or what the trip to visit family was like. #gccedu
@DrJacieMaslyk Get out of your classroom--don't eat lunch by yourself! Lunch is a great way to connect with other educators, and learn from their experiences. #gccedu
@DrJacieMaslyk Empower, Engage, Equip. Don't be afraid to ask to do things that disrupt your schedule, like conferences--you need to be empowered. Engage with Ss and other Ts to build a support system. Become equipped with information to grow as a teacher. #gccedu
@nankr1120 "I do believe that I was a great teacher then, but I was a great teacher for that time." To continue to be a great teacher, we need to continue to build knowledge about new ways to teach. #gccedu
