@theindind@walterkirn@NIHDirector_Jay Who would fund it? Research is exorbitantly expensive. Those with that kind of money have no interest in the truth.
In my work as a therapist I once had a patient with a substance use diagnosis who had been lying about using drugs for many months. Of course I'd suspected it from her behavior but never accused her because, unlike most therapists, I feel this damages the therapeutic relationship. And the truth always comes out anyway. So we worked on other things, things that were important to her.
One day she slipped, in conversation, and it became obvious that she'd been lying for a long time. Because we had such a good relationship by this time she was genuinely sorry that she'd been lying to me and so was especially receptive when I explained a yoga discipline that involved complete truthfulness, Satya, and asked if she might want to try it. It meant simply committing to telling the truth no matter what the consequences to herself. She was all about it and when she came back two weeks later she was a changed person and also very grateful. Now THAT was inspiring. This was a discipline that even the strongest people will falter in but this young girl took it in completely, without hesitation, and used it to transform her life for the better. People are amazing.
Thank you for sharing this intimate experience on your life journey. It is through the sharing of these most personal, most profound experiences and how they color our lives that we come together as fellow humans.

Well, good for you. You made out. Aren't you fortunate that you made the right choice and had the confidence to stand your ground. So how about some compassion for the people who were tricked into getting it or whose fears were played upon well enough to override their common sense? I didn't get it and my entire family was livid, thought I had become a right-wing conspiracy theorist. My own daughter was so angry with me that I thought I'd lost her forever. Yet now I am so worried for her and my friends and family who are suffering from infertility, heart conditions, strokes, and cancer that I have nothing but compassion for them. Yes, most are still in denial about the vaccine. Only one has apologized to me, my closest friend who was just diagnosed with a heart condition that may kill him. He has told me I was right and he wished he had listened to me. How can I be angry with these people who were victimized by manipulative psychopaths. If you put down and disparage these victims than you are behaving no better than the they did. And. You're falling right into the hands of the psychopaths that orchestrated this whole thing and love to see us fighting amongst ourselves.
Introducing organic material and fungi along with the biochar, planting shallow-rooted crops that tolerate alkaline soil in the beginning,...these and other methods would lead to regeneration over time. A long process for sure though. Better to prevent the problem in the first place.
Thanks for explaining that this is a routine practice. Now it makes sense, well CRAZY sense. They just make money any way they can without regard for the consequences to others and the earth. Nothing new. Just want to say though that farmland soil CAN and has been regenerated using biochar. So there is hope. Certainly humans can be extremely destructive, but they also are very good at building and coming up with a new ideas. I do have hope that future generations will remediate a lot of the destruction that's happening now in the world.
Hm... What did the farmers do, or the ancient peoples who didn't even have all the social media, TV, etc. that we have? I imagine they told stories, worked on crafts, socialized, danced, feasted (as we still do during winter holidays), did meditation and other introspective practices,... I'm sure we could find plenty to do. π And it's not about what I like or don't like. It's about living a healthier lifestyle, one that aligns as nearly as possible with the way we evolved, with the type of life we're adapted for, the way humanity lived for the vast majority of human history.
But it is possible to adjust our activities by the presence or absence of sunlight. The workday could start an hour (or 2 or 3, individual workplaces and schools could each have their own policies) after sunrise and run until a certain period before sunset, adjustable by the season. We'd have longer workdays in summer but still time to enjoy the weather, shorter workdays in winter when we are MEANT to have more downtime, like the farmers of days gone by. We are certainly healthiest when we live lives aligned with the natural cycles of the Earth. This modern lifestyle is killing us. Listen to Mother Nature.
Just my perspective, but I'd rather we simply adjust our activities by the presence or absence of sunlight. That would be healthiest. Workday starts an hour (or 2 or 3) after sunrise and runs until a certain period before sunset, adjustable by the season. We'd have longer workdays in summer but still time to enjoy the weather, shorter workdays in winter when we are MEANT to have more downtime, like the farmers of days gone by. You're going to have to explain your perspective in a little more detail if you expect a reasonable response. If you're just venting, that's fine too but I can't say I agree or disagree without more information. I guess you mean the money taken from your paycheck is breaking your legs? Well, then how is it that you're still walking, getting on with your life? And who is going to take care of the guy that loses his legs in a car accident if the government doesn't, once it has been peeled off your back (in other words, once you're not required to contribute to the well-being of those less fortunate than you)? Are YOU going to step up and pay anyone's medical bills and housing costs and pay to feed them when they can't fend for themselves? And what are you going to do if YOU end up not able to work and become one of those less fortunate people that you assume are trying to game the system? Please tell me. If you have a better idea it would be great to hear it.
