John Kelly, the longest-serving White House chief of staff for Donald Trump, rips his former boss:
“What can I add that has not already been said? A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them…
A person that has no idea what America stands for and has no idea what America is all about…
A person who admires autocrats and murderous dictators. A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.
There is nothing more that can be said. God help us.”
There may be no pushback from his Republican colleagues, but mustn’t there be pushback from the rest of us? This kind of language is destructive to our country, our culture, and every living person. No one is safe under this man. I cannot understand how anyone can condone this language and behavior.
@SpeakerMcCarthy I hope this is not a partisan abuse of power and that you will be as forthright in making the public aware of charges against POTUS
As one would expect of someone in your position. This announcement sticks of election year politics.
Huge congratulations from PEAKY BLINDERS to the mighty OPPENHEIMER on its global success.
Cillian, from the moment you donned Tommy’s cap it was clear that you are at the top of your craft. Your performance as Oppenheimer is magnificent.

No makeup? No pantsuit? No problem.
I’ve got the must-have accessory for spring.
I’m wearing a mask (and voting!) for my country, my community, and my grandchildren. #MaskingForAFriend @PandemicAction
To Bishop Mark Seitz the real emergency is humanitarian—a matter of deciding how best to care for the people coming to the border. “That should concern us,” he said. “This is a group of very vulnerable people.” https://t.co/7Lnrpk6UIq via @americamag
Tomorrow City Council will meet to discuss joining litigation to force the US Government to address the sewage, sediment and trash that continues to flow into the Tijuana River Valley. @vivianmorenosd and I urge them to support joining the State lawsuit. https://t.co/CKXJ2vqff8
The dehumanization of a minority group is a classic way of legitimizing the mistreatment of that group. It happened in Nazi Germany (with Jews described as "vermin") and in Rwanda (with Tutsi as "cockroaches"). This kind of language always leads to violence and, eventually, death
