spent all this time lobbying for an early dismissal from the office today because of the end of days flooding only to have a drizzle. THANKS A LOT, MAYOR.
Tom Holland reveals how Americas/New Yorkers talk to each other disrespectfully unlike the Englands who are very respectful
Tom Holland: One of the things I find really difficult is a lot of Americans, New Yorkers especially, when they're ordering food, it's very different to how we order food. In England, it says, "Please may I have the burger with number two, thank you so much, please, let me thank you, thank you, thank you." And in America, it's totally fine to be like, "I'll have the number two" and just leave it at that.
Amy Poehler: Especially on the East Coast.
Tom Holland: Totally. And I would be doing scenes and my dialect coach would come in and be like, "Stop saying please."
Amy Poehler: Ooh!
Tom Holland: Like, a kid from New York's not going to say please if you're asking for a burger. So I, you can see it, there's a moment in this movie where someone asks me for a coffee and I just go, "Sure." And even through the suit, you can see like, I'm like, "My dad is going to be so disappointed in me!"
kinda brilliant of the surveillance age to label people who call out other people for doing a widely normalized but fucked up thing as having a disorder.
Hits truly don’t hit like they used to because when WBT had its run…. You couldn’t go anywhere without hearing it…. I’ve not only never heard this song… but never heard of this artist 😭😭😭😭
not i. i was awesome at it and loved wowing the masses with my perfect single attempts. alas, i now live a car-free existence, unable to share my gifts with the world. oh cruel fate.
