People crying about how Paraguay played France are missing the whole point. That wasn’t supposed to be pretty. That was David vs Goliath. And David didn’t show up trying to win a passing contest. David showed up with a rock in his hand. Paraguay doesn’t have Mbappé. They don’t have France’s depth. They don’t have 11 world-class players they can just roll out and say, “Let’s play beautiful football.” So what were they supposed to do? Open up? Play France’s game? Let France be comfortable?
No.
They had to make it ugly. They had to make it uncomfortable. They had to get in their heads. Every tackle, every delay, every little battle mattered. That was the fight. That was the only way they had a chance. And honestly? France looked bothered. That tells you Paraguay did their job. But the handshake thing with Mbappé and Gil? Man… that was embarrassing. You just won. You’re one of the biggest stars in the world. Shake the man’s hand.
Fighters shake hands when the fight is over.
France won the game, but that sore winner energy was ugly. 🤢
We live in a world where we can’t seem to own anything. Everything is a subscription. Music, storage, movies, water, electricity. You can’t just buy things once and own them. You have to keep paying every month until you eventually die. Is anyone else bothered by this?
I noticed something:
People who have traveled a lot tend to judge less. Not because they became nicer, but because they've seen too many versions of what's "normal."
In one country, it's normal to eat with your hands.
In another, it's normal to stay quiet at the table.
In a third, it's normal to hug strangers.
When you've seen 30 different versions of "the right way," you stop believing yours is the only one.
Travel doesn't just teach geography.
It teaches tolerance.
@AcervoCharts “The world’s most fertile woman” and it’s a woman who was married of at 12 years old and was continuously raped her whole life because men as a system are demonic and too many female children are subjected to rape and sexual harassment and assaults call it was it is. Rape
