But it’s an impt talk to give: about the experience of women in medicine, academics, STEM.
It’s hard because it hits home; & because I answer any question & tell the truth.

Our first-ever Student Action Network Mid-Year Virtual Event was a huge success! Thank you to all of our Leadership Pathway members, student teams, and faculty who made it memorable. The PCP National Team enjoyed bringing everyone together, & we hope everyone is feeling inspired!
Can I be honest?
I’ve never really liked the phrase “starting a family” in reference to pregnancy. It implies a limited path to family. Starting a family can also be fostering or adopting children, choosing not to have bio children or being unable to, and the family we choose.
With new votes joining the tally, we are on a strong path. But even while we wait for more, let’s celebrate the extraordinary organizers, volunteers, canvassers & tireless groups that haven’t stopped going since Nov. Across our state, we roared. A few miles to go...but well done!
I’ve given half my life to medicine.
And medicine wouldn’t give my husband a chest x-ray.
Some kids stole a truck yesterday.
And they almost stole my husband’s life alongside it.

I appreciate this tweet. Our humanity, which is deeply rooted in connection with others, is so threatened by the pandemic. Nice reminder of how we can do small things to support each other.
