روزنامه ۸صبح با انتشار بیانیه‌ای اعلام کرده است که بیستمین سال فعالیت خود را پشت سر می‌گذارد؛ رسانه‌ای که به گفته مسئولان آن، باوجود فشارها و محدودیت‌های گسترده علیه رسانه‌ها، همچنان به کار اطلاع‌رسانی و روزنامه‌نگاری مستقل ادامه داده است.

در این بیانیه آمده است که ۸صبح طی دو دهه گذشته تلاش کرده با گزارش‌های میدانی، تحقیقات ژورنالیستی، تحلیل‌ها و گفت‌وگوها، بازتاب‌دهنده واقعیت‌های افغانستان و منطقه باشد و صدای شهروندان را منعکس کند.

بیست‌سالگی یک گرامی‌نامه

روزنامه ۸صبح امروز بیست ساله شد. اگر امروز ۸صبح، پس از بیست سال، هنوز زنده و استوار ایستاده است، این اعتبار پیش از همه از آنِ خبرنگاران جوان، شجاع و پرتلاش آن است؛ از آنِ دختران و پسرانی که با خطر زیسته‌اند، با سرکوب روبه‌رو بوده‌اند، فشار را تاب آورده‌اند، اما قلم را زمین نگذاشته‌اند. امروز نام بسیاری از آنان شاید کم‌تر دیده شود یا هیچ دیده نشود، اما اثر کارشان در حافظه عمومی افغانستان خواهد ماند.

۸صبح بیست‌ساله شد؛ با قامتی خسته اما ایستاده، با قلبی زخمی اما روشن، با حافظه‌ای سنگین اما بیدار. این بیست سال، تاریخ یک روزنامه نیست؛ بخشی از تاریخ مقاومت مدنی افغانستان و سیر روشنگری آن است. اگر روزنامه‌نگاری در معنای شریف آن، ایستادن در کنار مردم باشد، ۸صبح در این دو دهه کوشیده است همین کار را بکند؛ نه بی‌خطا، نه بی‌لغزش، اما با صداقت، با سماجت، با ایمان به آزادی و حفظ حرمت کلمه.

آرزو دارم روزی افغانستان دوباره به آزادی برسد؛ روزی که من نیز به وطن برگردم، دست همکارانم را صمیمانه بفشارم و اعتبار این همه خبر، گزارش و روایت را به صاحبان اصلی آن بازگردانم؛ به همین خبرنگاران جوانی که در دشوارترین وضعیت، چراغ اطلاع‌رسانی را روشن نگه داشته‌اند و به امروز و فردای اطلاع‌رسانی آزاد و بی‌طرف عزت بخشیده‌اند.

آرزو دارم در فردای آزادی، عکس این قهرمانان را که امروز نام شان دیده نمی‌شود، بر در و دیوار ۸صبح بیاویزم تا هرکس وارد اتاق خبر می‌شود، بداند که این رسانه بر شانه‌های چه انسان‌های شجاعی ایستاده است.

آرزو دارم روزی همه به وطن برگردیم، نشر چاپی ۸صبح را از سر بگیریم، انرژی کابل دوباره به اتاق خبر برگردد، صدای صفحه‌آرایی، تیتر، ویرایش و چاپ در اتاق‌های ما بپیچد، و ما در ساعت‌های کوتاه تفریح، گل‌های باغچه ۸صبح را آبیاری کنیم و بیشتر عکس یادگاری بگیریم.

آرزو دارم اتاق خبر ۸صبح را با افتخار به همین جوانان بسپارم و خودم، در پایان راه روزنامه‌نگاری، با سربلندی و شادمانی، هر بامداد با یک بایسکل، نسخه چاپی ۸صبح را سر ساعت ۸صبح پشت در خانه‌های مردم برسانم.

آرزوی ما رسیدن به فردای روشن برای همه است: فردایی که در آن بتوان از آزادی و عدالت گفت و از روشنگری و زیبایی زندگی نوشت. فردایی که ولو هرچه ناممکن و هرقدر آرمانی، روشن باشد و صمیمیت و سلام‌و‌علیک وطنی به کوچه‌های افغانستان بازگردد.

تا فردای آزادی!

Last week, I had the opportunity to speak at a conference on the situation of women and journalists under Taliban rule, alongside H.E. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Poland, Mr. Saoud Abdulla Z. Al Mahmoud, and other distinguished panelists, including Izabela Klimowicz and Magdalena Foremska.

During the discussion, I highlighted the ongoing detention of journalists by the Taliban and the severe restrictions on freedom of expression in Afghanistan. I also emphasized the difficult realities faced by Afghan women under the current regime.

In my remarks, I noted that the State of Qatar, given its important regional role and its channels of communication with the Taliban, is in a unique position to advocate for the release of detained journalists and to support fundamental human rights in Afghanistan.

I am grateful for the opportunity to share these concerns and to contribute to an important dialogue on the future of Afghan society, media freedom, and human dignity.
