You won’t be able to play as Venom until Spider-Man 3. In Spider-Man 2 only Peter & Miles will be playable.

@insomniacgames I think its cool that you guys wanted to cast a young and hip actor like @machinegunkelly but we prefer the original face model. We appreciate the thought, but the fans have chosen j0hn bubn1ack! :) It's okay to delay the game if it gives you time to bring back our spiderman.

@insomniacgames I ask because it seems like a good example of the community clearly stating a majority preference, but for the most part being ignored. Some solutions that have been discussed: toggle to choose the old face, similar to choosing a suit, or a revert back to the original face model.

@insomniacgames Genuine question, I know it has been controversial so you all have been quiet on it, rightfully so.. but what's the status on Peter's face model? Simply put, we understand there might be some technical advantages to the new one, but most still prefer the original PS4 model.
