#premolarextraction premolar extraction/retraction can cause the narrowing of the pharyngeal airway, a change in the tongue position, and the reduction of oral cavity space, and hence is a risk for sleep apnea.
#extractions A survey for those who have had extracted teeth with orthodontics, to determine the correlation between health issues and extraction orthodontics.

@MarianCorbett12@YouTube So sorry to hear. I've read that extractions alone as a child will reduce the dental arches, and can (just like with extraction orthodontics) lead to maxillary underdevelopment. Hope you didn't get any of the health consequences. This survey lists them. https://t.co/plFPiwpfX9
@HimanshuDudeja_ just wrote--not sure it went through. No data on non-ext treatments. But jaw pain and bad bite reported by non-extracted cases. Also even without extraction, ortho can be retractive and cause some of the same issues.
@HimanshuDudeja_ Hi @HimanshuDudeja. Sorry no data on ortho treatment in general, just on this specific method (as hundreds of articles on premolar extractions). However, the Facebook Orthodontic Negligence site has "victims" of both ext and non-ext cases. Jaw pain most reported in non-ext.
Question on @Quora: What do orthodontists think of the thousands of patients who have reported severe health consequences and facial disfigurement due to premolar extractions? https://t.co/MyjlrTcz3w
@JanHoffmanNYT Great posts as usual. Might you consider doing a piece on this orthodontic scandal? 7 million kids/year affected. https://t.co/A2TQ5KJISh
