Thank you for participating, @LincolnD303!
π After a month of reading and voting for their favorite books, students across the district have chosen The Barnabus Project as the 2022 March Book Madness Champion! Thank you to the elementary LRC directors for hosting this #InnovativeLearning experience! π
@FollettLearning I'm disappointed, Follett. Patron privacy is a key tenet of librarianship. If you claim to support students, librarians, and teachers, you need to be standing up against anything that threatens that privacy and freedom to read. So far, I'm not seeing that happen.
Who will win it all? The Barnabus Project by @opifan64 and Terry Fan, or Chez Bob by @bobshea?
Find out on March 25!

π It's Championship Week for March Book Madness! Competing for the title of the 2022 D303 Book of the Year are Chez Bob and The Barnabus Project. Be sure to read the two books and vote for who you think should be crowned the winner! #InnovativeLearning
Week 3 for #MarchBookMadness starts tomorrow! Which will @LincolnD303 choose for the championship round: The Barnabus Project by @opifan64 and Terry Fan, or Hamsters Make Terrible Roommates by @chavelaque and @abhi_alwar? πππΉπ
HUGE thank you to @barberchicago, @AndersonsBkshp, and most of all, @gregpizzoli for the amazing virtual author visit! Your fans at @LincolnD303 are SO grateful that you were able to reschedule!!! THANK YOU!!!

@abmack33 I know!!! Even the FollettBound ones we get have pages that just peel out within a few circulations. At least they get replaced for free, but still!
@DrTLovesBooks I have K-5 students, but we have a lot of donated consumable materials (egg cartons, cardboard tubes, yarn, fabric, sequins, googly eyes, pipe cleaners) that they enjoy using to create!
@GenderPudding Not sure if this is quite new enough, but There's a Monster in Your Book by Tom Fletcher. We got it for my 3 year old niece and then promptly had to read it to her about 5 times in a row!
@destinylawyer I'd argue that all three male protagonists in Ms Bixby's Last Day are pretty courageous. Also, Absolutely Almost, Soar (Bauer), and The Season of Styx Malone.
I am one of the top @screencastify video creators in my district! #TopScreencaster π I guess that is what happens when you record videos for a semester of remote LRC! :)
Thanks, Screencastify, for a truly AMAZING product and for continuing to make each update even better!
Hey @Padlet - There isn't a way to force a copy of a Padlet, is there? I know how to make a copy, but for backpack users, it would be great if we could make a Padlet template that automatically makes a copy for selected students (so that they don't have to!).
