Honestly, Meguro really worked hard on his English during the past year. When we watched him again at FW, I could clearly see how much he had improved, both in speaking and listening. He could immediately understand what the reporter was asking him, and his pronunciation was also much better. I could hear every word he said without needing to read the subtitles (if there were any)

Last time, he couldn’t pronounce the /l/ and /r/ sounds well, but this time, they were much clearer. The same goes for the /θ/ and /ð/ sounds. He even paid attention to the sounds at the ends of words when he pronounced them.
