when i was in middle school i was obsessed with art reviews and animation memes and i wanted to be an "art god" but now that im 19 ive accepted that i just kind of suck at art and thats ok. id rather have fun than turn it into a chore

Non visual artists are the only people in the world whose parents paid for an art education at a young age and they keep busting our balls over the fact that they got to play the piano at 6 instead of 25, while visual artists are largely self taught at any age.
My two cents on the ‘why do artists think everyone can draw’ thing is that at 18 I was teaching myself how to draw and would sob while drawing the 18th drawing of the same leg in the same angle because I was so desperate to know there’s no possible way my skills capped There.
