Larne Special Olympics Celebration!
Although the Area 11 Special Olympics were canceled in April due to weather, our amazing SPED teachers made sure the spirit of the games lived on! They organized a fantastic Larne Special Olympics right here at school — complete with a parade!

Today, our 5th grade classes took their final elementary field trip to the Gaston Museum! It was a fun and educational way to wrap up their time in elementary school — memories were made and history came to life!

PSC 911 Education Presentation at York County Public Safety! Our third graders were taught how to handle emergencies by the amazing "SOS Girl" from York County Public Safety! They learned valuable skills on what to do in case of an emergency, ensuring they feel and prepared.

Yesterday our 5th graders participated in an exciting and educational Career Fair! Drawing from responses to a recent parent survey and support from local community members, we gathered a diverse group of professionals to share insights about their careers.

After reading Grace and Grandma, a play written about the Chinese culture, third graders practiced origami, participated in a traditional tea ceremony, learned how to use chopsticks, and even tried writing in the Chinese alphabet. It was a wonderful hands-on learning opportunity!

My mama, also known by Nanny came to read to my class today! She even dressed the part. She read one of my favorite books and encouraged the students to have confidence in themselves. Then answered questions about what Clover was like when she was younger.

Larne Elementary wrapped up Black History Month today with a door decorating contest. Classroom's celebrated a famous figure, ranging from authors to athletes. Some displays included videos produced by students, QR codes to resources and music.
