Elon Musk reveals that SpaceX was forced to strap a seal to a board and put headphones on it to test sonic boom sounds
"We were forced to kidnap a seal, strap it to a board, put headphones on the seal, and play sonic boom sounds to it to see if it would be distressed. This is an actual thing that happened. This is actually real. I have pictures."
Lex Fridman: "I would love to see this."
Elon Musk: "Yeah. I mean, sorry, there's a seal with headphones. Yes, it's a seal with headphones strapped to a board. And the amazing part is how calm the seal was."
Lex Fridman: "Because if I was a seal, I'd be like, this is the end. They're definitely going to eat me. How will the seal, when the seal goes back to other seal friends, how are they going to explain that?"
Elon Musk: "They're never going to believe them. It's sort of like getting kidnapped by aliens and getting an anal probe. You come back and say I swear to god I got kidnapped by aliens and your seal buddies are never going to believe him. And by the way we had to do it twice."
Lex Fridman: "They let him go twice? You had to catch the same seal?"
Elon Musk: "Well no, different seal."
News24’s latest hit piece on AfriForum seriously backfired when AfriForum revealed that the News24 group continues to donate millions of rands to the ANC.
The anti @afriforum activists at @News24 simply cannot seem to learn that their exaggerated vendetta against AfriForum seriously compromises their judgement. This has led to serious blunders time and again. Apart from having to apologise to AfriForum repeatedly for publishing false claims about us, they are also shooting themselves in the foot and undermining their own credibility.

A UK student's reaction is going viral after Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Britain will ban children younger than 16 from using social media.
During a BBC interview, the student revealed her screen time was nine hours over the weekend. When asked how she'd fill all that extra time without social media, she didn't hesitate: "Stare at a wall."
The deadpan response is quickly becoming one of the most shared reactions to the UK's sweeping new restrictions on children's social media use.
One gram of fat for every gram of protein. On carnivore, treat that as the floor, not the goal.
Fat is your fuel here. No carbs are coming to help. Skimp on it and you will feel flat, starving, and wretched, then blame the diet.
Most people do better higher still, nearer two grams of fat to one of protein. Aim past the minimum, never below it.
Start with the cut. You want it well marbled, fine white threads of fat running all through the red.
The lean, ruby, trimmed steak is the wrong one. Reach for ribeye over fillet. Chuck, brisket, short rib, belly. Fatty mince, twenty percent fat or more, never the lean.
Then add more on top. A knob of butter melting over the hot steak. Eggs cooked slowly in butter until they drink it in.
Cook in tallow or butter, never a dry pan. The fat that renders out is the prize, not the mess to tip away.
Brown your mince and leave the fat where it is. Stir that golden pool back through it. That is the meal, not the waste.
Spoon the drippings back over the plate. Leave the yolks soft. Choose the fatty fish over the lean.
Get the fat right and the rest follows. The energy, the fullness, the steady calm. On carnivore, the fat was never the side. It is the whole point.

STUDY FINDS SUNSCREEN USE LINKED TO DRAMATICALLY HIGHER RISK OF MULTIPLE SKIN CANCERS
A UK Biobank analysis of 470,000+ people found sunscreen users faced significantly higher risk of:
- MELANOMA: +292%
- BASAL CELL CARCINOMA: +140%
- SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA: +126%
This is what happens when you slather rapidly absorbed hormone disrupting chemicals all over your body while blocking vitamin D — one of the body’s key defenses against cancer.
These dramatic cancer signals remained even after accounting for major skin cancer risk factors: age, sex, skin type, tanning ability, sunburn history, sunlamp use, and time spent outdoors.
Peanut butter is the gym bro's beloved, the toddler's staple, the "healthy fat and protein" jar in every cupboard. It is also one of the most reliable dietary sources of a mould toxin that ranks among the most potent natural carcinogens known to science.
That toxin is aflatoxin, made by Aspergillus moulds that adore the warm, damp, underground, stored-in-bulk life a peanut leads. Aflatoxin B1 is a class-one human carcinogen, a liver carcinogen specifically, and it is why peanuts are among the most heavily tested foods on Earth. In regulated markets the level in your jar is usually kept low, which is the system working. In the parts of the world without that testing, peanuts and maize quietly drive liver cancer.
Then the rest of the arsenal, none of which a testing regime touches. The peanut is not even a nut but a legume, and it carries peanut lectin, one of the few lectins tough enough to survive digestion and slip into the bloodstream intact. Phytic acid to lock up the iron and zinc. Oxalates to seed kidney stones. Goitrogens to lean on the thyroid. And a hefty slug of omega-6 linoleic acid, the inflammatory fat we already drown in from seed oils.
Then the jar itself, frequently cut with sugar and palm oil, so your clean protein arrives with a side of cleared rainforest.
And for the finale, it is the most lethal common food allergen on the planet, the one schools ban outright. Savour that the next time someone calls a bacon sandwich the health risk. The toddler staple here that can stop a child's breathing and carries a literal carcinogen is not the bacon.
Sakeliga won a massive court case against BBBEE and the Government. This proves that the more businesses stand up against these racial policies, the sooner we can get rid of these discriminatory policies once and for all.

Okay this is genuinely insane.
SpaceX just unveiled a satellite whose only job is to run AI. Not internet. Not GPS. Just compute, floating in orbit.
It's called AI1, and the reason behind it breaks your brain.
AI data centers on Earth are hitting a wall, not a chip wall, a physics wall.
They need staggering amounts of power and water just to stay cool, and we're running out of grid and land to build them.
So Musk's answer is: stop building them on Earth.
In orbit, the sun never sets. Free power, 24/7. No water for cooling, you just radiate heat into the vacuum of space. The two things choking AI on the ground barely exist up there.
And here's the wild part: Musk says it's easier to build than a Starlink satellite. Strip out the complex antennas and it's "a lot of solar cells, a radiator, and some laser links."
One AI1 carries the compute of an Nvidia GB300 rack, the same hardware data centers fight over down here.
AI1 is just the first one. The plan is a constellation of up to a million of them.
And the timing isn't an accident, SpaceX goes public this week at a ~$1.75 trillion target. This isn't a rocket company anymore. It's positioning itself as the power grid for AI, in space.
The race for AI compute just left the planet. Literally.

🚨THE SUN IS NOT CAUSING CANCER — It’s literally giving life to every living thing on Earth!
Dr. Stephanie Rimka: “The Sun Isn’t Causing Cancer — It’s WHAT YOU’RE DOING UNDER IT.”
Slathering toxic sunscreen full of carcinogens?
Poisoning your body with mRNA injections?
Eating seed oils, sugar & processed garbage that destroys your mitochondria?
That’s the real cancer fuel.
Cancer is a METABOLIC DISEASE, not genetic. The sun is being scapegoated while Big Pharma and Big Food profit from your fear.
Ditch the poison. Get in the sun. Heal your metabolism.
The sun isn’t the enemy — the lies are.
Hours in the midday sun, weeks on end. Tanned like a conker. Not one peel.
Six years ago, before I cut seed oils, the sun would barely touch me and I'd be peeling within days.
Correlation isn't causation, sure. Until you learn seed oils get stored in your skin and oxidise under UV. That reaction is the burn.
Cut the oils. Give it two years. Your skin stops flinching at the sun it was built for.
I'm carnivore for the animals.
I'm aware of how that sounds. Give me thirty seconds.
One grass-fed cow spends its life doing precisely what a cow evolved to do, standing on a Welsh hillside eating grass off land that will never grow anything else, and then it dies once. That single death feeds a person for the better part of a year. One animal, one death, a few hundred dinners.
Now look at the field of wheat that got sold to you as the gentle, bloodless choice. Something lived where that field is before it was a field. Clearing the ground evicted it. Planting it took the hedgerows and the habitat. Keeping it alive meant the pesticides and the rodenticides. Harvesting it meant a combine moving through the crop while the field mice, the voles, the ground-nesting chicks, the rabbits and the toads were still in it. Nobody tallies that lot. Nobody films it. There is no body count printed on the bag of flour.
The grazing cow is the one death you can see, so it's the one death you flinch at. The wheat field is the quiet, mechanical massacre you were taught to call kind, because the casualties are small, numerous, and tidily out of shot.
I won't pretend nothing dies for my plate. Something dies for everyone's plate, the vegan's very much included. I've simply done the sums on which plate carries the longer list of bodies, and the cow on a hillside that grows nothing but grass wins it comfortably.
If you truly eat the way you eat for the animals' sake, a grass-fed cow ought to be the easiest argument anyone's ever put in front of you.
Fasting For 16 Hours A Day Triggers Cellular Autophagy—The Body's Process of Eating Its Own Dead Cells.
In 2016, a Japanese cell biologist won the Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovering the mechanism of autophagy.
He proved that when the human body goes without food for 16 to 18 hours, it runs out of easy energy. To survive, it begins hunting for fuel inside the body. It targets damaged cells, misfolded proteins, and senescent "zombie" cells that cause aging and inflammation.
It literally eats the disease to keep you alive.
The pharmaceutical industry cannot patent fasting. They cannot sell you a pill that replicates autophagy. So they tell you to eat six small meals a day to "keep your metabolism up."
Eating constantly keeps your body in storage mode. Fasting puts your body in repair mode.
