@ShredvanWinkle 100% agree. fwiw, this is not a new idea in the US at all. The current focus on “I have rights” is a gift of the Baby Boomers. They changed the idea of rights from individual-ish but mostly communal (ie class rights for women to vote, no racial discrimination, etc) to personal.
