Often times God speaks to me in the form of my own voice speaking to or correcting my kids… like when I encourage them to be generous with one another because it all belongs to me anyway or because I’m the source of MORE. They don’t have to fear running out…in fact, I give more
Often times when talking to my kids, I hear the Lord echo it back to me. Don’t miss what he’s speaking. God has taught me more about his character(& myself) through my kids than any other way. It’s not just about what we are teaching them but what they reveal about ourselves.
Perspective shift: serving our kids could make us resentful, but remember Who you represent. You are giving them a wonderful example of how Jesus served! Washing feet seems too low for a King, but it’s very fitting for a Father! We get to show them His love. #motherhoodisministry
Sometimes the messy & mundane tasks of motherhood may make us feel less than… but it’s a Christ-like example of servanthood that’s crucial for our children to see lived out. You model the gospel for them daily, I can’t think of anything more important. ❤️ #motherhoodisministry
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil." // Ephesians 6:10-11
Roles that carry great spiritual weight come with great spiritual warfare… Moms, when it’s hard &heavy, armor up! Remember who you’re fighting & what you’re fighting for. Our stance must be strategic & proactive. Our weapons are found in the Word - Ephesians 6:10-17! #motherhood
Don’t ever believe the lie that you are “just a mom.” You are a minister of the gospel. You are raising disciples. This is Kingdom work. #motherhood#mom#ministry
I used to see motherhood as a limitation - limiting me from the freedom to go accomplish other important things… until one day I realized, it IS the most important thing & it IS enough! #motherhood#momlife#discipleship#ministry
