@labourlewis Here’s the moment @labourlewis reads Tom Watson’s letter out live on stage at a fringe event at the Labour conference hosted by long time campaigners against Palantir in the NHS, @allthecitizens
Rent in Madrid has risen by 80% in A DECADE.
Protestors are saying: “Either the rentier economy falls, or the government does.”
Mass protests. Encampments. Going after the landlords.
VICTORY TO THE TENTS! WAR ON THE LANDLORDS!
Madrid first. London next!
If the Palestine Action ban isn't lifted before the Supreme Court, it'll be Andy Burnham's government in court defending the draconian ban and the criminalisation of thousands of people.
They have just over a month to lift the ban.
Completely pathetic! Third year in a row @declassifiedUK journalists have been blocked from Labour Conference.
Do you believe in a free press @UKLabour & @andyburnham?
Do people not see how weird this is?
A member of the Israeli delegation was walking around the UN General Assembly hall to check which countries had left during Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech.
"When a great evil is taking place, it's not just those who cheer on and do the evil."
"It's the people who don't speak out when they know evil is taking place."
@owenjonesjourno says Ed Sheeran's neutrality is cowardice.

This was painted over in one day.
In 2023 the Housing Ombudsman ruled against Camden for taking four years to respond to a complaint about leaks. They didn't even resolve it.
Amazing what Camden can do when it's motivated.
I don’t think people fully comprehend the fact we have multiple British citizens who were active in Israeli forces in Gaza walking around the country, without any investigation, tracking or monitoring. We have no idea the crimes they committed or how radicalised they might be.
Teesside has long experience of being talked down. The place once stood for steel, iron, coal — industry. Over 40 years that status has disappeared with the industries themselves. Teesside instead saw itself as half-forgotten by government, then the butt of jokes and disparaging coverage. Recent events have only reinforced an impression of a beaten, wild area.
But as a name with national recognition, what has endured is Middlesbrough FC. There was a palpable sense on Saturday that, but for Boro’s late winner against Norwich, the mood across the region would have plummeted. It can sound overblown, but what you saw with Ashley Phillips’ 91st-minute winner was just how much Teesside hope, self-esteem and identity are invested in the football club.
There are no claims that football means more on Teesside, just that, as @mwalker2771 writes, at a time like this its presence is enhanced.

No, this is not a joke.
UK Lawyers for Israel are trying to proscribe *Médecins Sans Frontières*.
That’d mean they’d be treated as terrorists.
On the same legal footing as ISIS.
Membership would mean 14 years in prison.
This is what we’re dealing with
Colin Cooper
Solid 90s defender. Middlesbrough man, a few England caps, no fuss, no myth. Read the game, headed it, got on with it. The sort of player dressing rooms need and documentaries skip. Fine career. Don’t oversell it. Don’t forget it either.
I think there needs to be a conversation about older people being radicalised online because that conversation is only ever framed through the prism of young people when evidently it’s happening to the older generation too. It’s really scary these are people’s grandparents.
James Orr has been forced to step down from Reform UK for his unethical behaviour. Fortunately he still has his other job, which is teaching ethics at Cambridge University.
Nigel Farage and other senior members of Reform UK have been filmed by undercover reporters celebrating secret new foreign donations.
Channel 4 News and @Verbatim_Media, a group of investigative journalists, can today reveal a plot to break the law on party funding at the highest levels of Reform UK.
You can watch the full investigation here: https://t.co/f1g358fN2Y
Channel 4 News approached Reform UK, Mr Farage, Mr Jukes and Mr Orr for comment on the findings of this investigation. They did not comment but we understand they deny the allegations in full.
