For The Driver, Auckland Airport transfers remain a planned, pre-booked service. Pick-up and drop-off details are checked in advance, sensible travel time is allowed, and the aim is a calm, direct journey between Hamilton, the Waikato & Auckland Airport.

For travellers, the practical message is simple: allow time, check the latest airport information, and avoid leaving your transfer arrangements to the last minute.

Auckland Airport Changes: Why Planned Transfers Matter
Auckland Airport continues to evolve, with Inner Terminal Road West works, Western Forecourt access changes and updated routing around some commercial transport areas.

To my X-network, as some of you have likely seen, I have been quite vocal regarding the US rhetoric on Greenland.
As someone who is a 1st Gen Kiwi with Danish parents who lived through WWII, I have a deep connection with Denmark, and by extension, Greenland.
The silence from the current New Zealand government has become unacceptable to me. As mentioned last week on other socials, I have kicked off a formal parliamentary petition.
If you are an NZ Citizen, or a permanent resident... and you agree with the intent of my official petition to the NZ government on their silence regarding Greenland and Denmark, please sign and share.
Now is not the time for NZ to be silent. Now is the time for Aotearoa to be loud.

Boom! It’s Friday again. So slippery and sneaky this week!
Remember when we quit our 9–5s for “freedom”?
Now we work 24/7, but you know, on our terms. 😂
Welcome to another instalment of “Hard Truths for Solopreneurs (Disguised as Humour But Actually Therapy, or so my therapist told me).”
Sure, we ditched the boss. But now we juggle everything, clients, deadlines, marketing, finances, lunch (if we remember), family, pets, and the occasional existential crisis.
So why do it?
Freedom.
Freedom to pivot. To build what we believe in. To fire that one client who emails “just a quick thing for tomorrow” at 10:47pm the night before you attempt to go on leave (more on that later!).
Freedom to lie awake at 2am, wondering if that invoice will ever get paid.
Is it chaos? Absolutely.
Would we go back? Not a chance. Well, maybe kicking, clawing, screaming, and yelling noooooo......! [insert straightjacket visual]
Enjoy your “weekend,” solopreneurs, may your inbox be quiet and your to-do list merciful.
Catch you Monday. (Or Tuesday. Or… whenever we remember what day it is.)
As a Gen X leader, I've been really tuning into how Gen Z is changing the game at work. It’s clear this generation has a different approach, and it’s one we can all learn from. As a people-first leader, I think we should be embracing Gen Z's strengths, not trying to fit them into a tidy little box.
Here’s some of what I’ve noticed:
- 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀: Gen Z wants to be part of something meaningful, not just collect a paycheck. They want their work to align with their values.
- 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿: Instead of clocking long hours, they focus on getting things done efficiently, using tech to do it better and faster.
- 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁: Remote work, flexible hours, Gen Z values the freedom to work in a way that suits them best.
- 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁: This generation is more self-aware and places a high priority on mental health, expecting employers to back that up.
If we’re still stuck in “we’ve always done it this way” thinking, we’re going to miss out. Gen Z isn’t just here to fill a role; they want to make an impact. They want change, they want growth, and they expect a workplace that supports both their personal and professional development.
The future of work is already here. Time to embrace it.

I've been talking to a few businesses this week, and the theme has been similar for all of them. Their 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿; payment terms are creeping upward.
Times are tough in Aotearoa, New Zealand, especially for smaller businesses, which make up 97% of all businesses here in NZ!
Hopefully, this free whitepaper will help some of you out there...

p.s. These strategies apply anywhere, not just in Aotearoa!
Mentorship provides stability and growth for leaders facing economic uncertainty, technological shifts, and market changes by fostering a two-way learning relationship that enhances self-awareness and decision-making.
Strong mentorship programmes and direct initiatives with an external mentor not only accelerate leadership development but also strengthen organisational culture and resilience.
This is especially true in small to medium businesses where leadership can often feel isolated.
I found the following article by @eriklogan_elo to be an interesting read and quite insightful.
Let me know what your take on it is.

It's been a long time, more than a decade, most likely, since I have done any real creative writing.
The odd snippet or poem. Most of the writing I have done is business/marketing stuff.
But tomorrow, I start my 100-day challenge.
From 6am to 6.30am every morning I write. And have a topic/prompt for every day.
Here is week one as an example:
Theme: Observation and Description
1Write a detailed description of your surroundings. Focus on sight, sound, smell, and texture.
2Describe a place from your past in vivid detail, capturing how it made you feel.
3Write about an object in your room like you’re describing it to someone who has never seen it before.
4Pick a colour and describe it in various ways using the senses (smell, sound, texture).
5Write a letter to your future self 10 years from now. What advice would you give yourself?
6Write about a dream you remember vividly. Describe the setting, the characters, and the feeling.
7Write a scene set in the rain. Focus on how the environment influences the characters.
