The People of God expect to receive light on the truth of the Gospel of Life from their Priests and Bishops. Pastors who express themselves in favour of Euthanasia - a deliberate act to terminate human life before its natural end - fail to honour their duty as Catholic shepherds
As a priest and later the cardinal archbishop of Milan, St. Charles was a model for his people. In public, though, he dressed as a cardinal should. He attended with great care to the dignity and respect owed to Church ceremonies. Buon onomastico to those named like this saint.
What I brought to that mix was not priestly perfection, liturgical elegance or administrative genius, but the joy of a sinner whom the Lord had looked upon. https://t.co/aXX1lCtaI9 via @americamag
My appreciation for Rev Mgr Moses Debono on @TheTimesofMalta yesterday. "He worked continuously for priestly vocations. Besides being a very good role model, he prayed daily for priestly vocations and always tried to help youths discern their own calling." https://t.co/1EMsTSb2oD
“Christ became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every other name.” Philippians 2:8-9
I pray that through Christ’s crucifixion we may have a life unceasingly devoted to him.

#PopeFrancis comments in today's Wednesday General Audience on his apostolic journey to Malta. He says that "it is as if Paul’s passing through there left his mission in the DNA of the Maltese!" #popefrancisinmalta2022
I chose the words "with unusual kindness" as the motto of my Journey to Malta because they indicate the path to follow so that the world might become more fraternal, more livable, and might be saved from a “shipwreck” that menaces all of us who are in the same boat.
I thank all those who worked hard to prepare this #ApostolicJourney and the citizens of #Malta for your welcome. I will remember the luminous face of Malta! You are a treasure in the Church and for the Church. Do not forget: the joy of the Church is to evangelize.
“A sound development needs to preserve the memory of the past and foster respect and harmony between the generations, without yielding to bland uniformity and to forms of ideological colonization.”

Article I wrote about some of my views of the Church.
“We, the holy people of God, should allow God to speak in our lives when we receive the Eucharist so that we may find the truth.”

It has been good to participate with other Catholic seminarians from @OscottCollege to explore different synodal pathways and reflect on participation, mission and communion in the Church. @Synod_va@RCBirmingham@catholicEW
This beautiful painting of the Transfiguration of Our Lord graces the chapel at Corradino Correctional Facility #Malta. I had the honour to celebrate Mass with the inmates and confirmed three of them on this 2nd Sunday of Lent 2022.
Today we enter the time of #Lent. Our prayer and fasting will be a plea for #peace in #Ukraine, bearing in mind that peace in the world always begins with our personal conversion, following Christ.
