@Bill_Linnane I'm a huge fan of Vico. Even for their emails alone! But they also happen to make absolutely cracking deodorants that do indeed smell bleedin gorgeous. I'm a huge fan of the lemongrass. After recommending to my brother he's now a fan of Orange Blossom
Irish brands for the win!
@klhicks912 Intend to avoid it writing children's books. I don't think they're necessary, and most of the younger age groups don't fully understand them, so probably treat them like a period anyway.
@klhicks912 I recently "finished" (are you ever really finished?) my latest, just need to submit it now. Was on a bit of a pause as I had no new ideas. Today something came to me. So I get to go through the exciting process of formulating ideas and trying to build a nice story.
$725 million is the settlement in America - but @facebook@meta was used to directly bombard c. 7 million with 1 billion Facebook ads grossly distorting the truth in the last weeks of #brexit by @Dominic2306 - he credits these ads as crucial see them here https://t.co/lzNwX8XIIA
@klhicks912 As I write children's books, never just numbers. I tend to just name them or both name and number them. I feel like its more inviting for them to read the chapter, give them a hint of what the chapter is about.
Can I also add a reminder, if Santa is bringing some beefy electronic devices, he might be well advised to get them fully charged prior to the big day. Santa will be graciously thanked on Christmas day for this. Nothing worse than looking at a new toy rather than playing with it!
Here is my annual reminder that if Santa is bringing a games console, Santa might want to plug it in and turn it on and get all the updates done now, in advance, so that it is all ready to go on the big day.
Listening in to you guys on @rteliveline@joeliveline. A couple to add to the #selfpublished authors if you don't mind, as I'm a self published children's author myself!
@JTDwyerBooks @LisaMar96088922 @jodyjsperling I'm not a huge fan of JK Rowling, but I will say this. It takes a different knack to hook children than it does to hook adults. She has that knack. She's a great writer.
@klhicks912 I'm conflicted. As a children's author I constantly wonder if just names work best, or if I should include chapter numbers. I've kinda gone both ways which probably is less than ideal!
@JMarchmanAuthor Horror. But mainly because it takes incredible writing for me to buy into it. Realistic violence is more relatable, even if you haven't personally gone through it. Written well it can draw you in much more deeply than horror and gore.
