Approximately 12 people have been displaced following an early morning fire in Elora.
@Fire_CW was called shortly before 1 am Saturday morning for a report of a fire at a commercial building on Metcalfe Street in Elora.

In an emergency - every second counts. Fire hydrants that are blocked, concealed, or difficult to access due to snow or ice impede emergency fire response. It is important to clear hydrants of snow/ice and clear a wide enough perimeter to walk around (3 feet).

The Fergus crew from CW Fire Rescue was back out last night checking to see if homeowners had working smoke and CO alarms installed. One resident even gave the crew some warm, homemade donuts!
