A steampunk extraction royale where players battle each other and the environment in a high-stakes struggle for survival | In development by @morragames
The line between AAA and indie game development is rapidly fading. With the rise of generative AI and prompt engineering, self-funded studios like Morra Games are now able to produce high-quality content that rivals that of major AAA titles.
At Morra Games, we leverage such tools for balance gameplay design, immersive voiceovers and soundtracks, and for accelerating bug fixes and improving development efficiency. These technologies have allowed us to focus on creativity and innovation without the traditional constraints of large production budgets.
A prime example is the Karnak Legacy soundtrack, crafted entirely through ElevenLabs. What once required hundreds of thousands of dollars in studio time can now be achieved at a fraction of the cost, without compromising quality.
We are not advocating for AI to replace human creativity; rather, we believe that artists and developers who learn to integrate generative AI into their craft will thrive in this evolving industry. As prompt engineering becomes a vital creative skill, the next generation of indie studios will be empowered to produce world-class art, music, and gameplay experiences on par with AAA titles.

Super proud of how far Karnak Legacy and Mythya have come! Zero funding but building real quality games, all through pure grind and passion. Been bootstrapping 2 mobile games since Q4 2023, and we can’t wait to finally ship what we’ve been cooking.
Karnak Legacy is not a web3 PUBG or Call of Duty, it’s bigger, bolder, and built differently.
The first-ever steampunk Egypt extraction royale, where survival meets strategy in a high-stakes FPS.
A brand new world. A fresh style of gameplay. A first of its kind experience on mobile.

For the past 17 months, we have been developing two mobile games simultaneously, each receiving steady weekly updates. This achievement has been made possible with nothing but founder-led investment, no community fundraising, no grants, no angels, and no VC capital. All we had was passion and love for our products.
Today, both games are not only fully playable but also feature new mechanics never seen before. We are not building the Fortnite or Call of Duty of Web3. We are building the first PvPvE Extraction Royale, combining survival and strategy elements in the world’s first steampunk setting with Egyptian aesthetics.
We are confident Karnak Legacy (@karnakmobile) will stand among the top mobile shooters in the Web2/3 space.
Indie games are taking over, Morra Games will lead.
Karnak Legacy is just as exciting as Mythya, both are pure fun and packed with wow-factor energy. After 17 months of development and we still can’t decide which one is the flagship.
@morragames is sitting on $1.2M worth of development progress, all bootstrapped. No token sale, no external funding. 100% founders grind and passion.
#WIP PvP is huge in shooter games but so is PvE, and for an indie studio like @morragames, both are essential. @karnakmobile will launch into early access with both gamemodes: PvP and PvE.
Players can earn scrolls in either mode, but the rarity of those scrolls will differ. If you’re chasing blueprints for characters, weapons, and jetpacks, PvP is where you need to be. If you’re looking for Weapon XP, Character XP, and other resources, both PvP and PvE will deliver.
No matter your grind, no matter your playstyle, there’s always something for everyone.
In first-person shooters, weapon skins generally hold greater value because they are constantly visible to the player, whereas in third-person shooters, character skins are more prominent and therefore more desirable. Each perspective offers unique advantages, and games should focus on offering skins that can be properly seen and showcased as that is the core purpose of owning them.
For example, in CS:GO, a first-person shooter, the weapon skin market is highly popular, while agent skins receive far less attention. Karnak Legacy, being a first-person shooter, naturally benefits from the high appeal of weapon skins. However, we have implemented several adjustments to ensure character skins are equally lucrative.
Players will be able to showcase character skins in a dedicated third-person viewing mode, separate from core gameplay while also enjoying weapon skins in first-person. This dual functionality maximizes the visibility and desirability of both weapon and character skins, creating strong demand for both within Karnak Legacy.
We’re seriously not hypeposting Morra Games enough.
We’re probably the only studio in web3 building two high-quality mobile games; Karnak Legacy and Mythya. Yes, we’re indie and fully bootstrapped, but we’ve already achieved more than 99% of the heavily funded projects out there.
There’s no mobile web3 game that comes close, not in lore, not in gameplay, not in graphics.
Karnak Legacy is not a battle royale, there’s no safezone here. It’s an extraction royale that pushes your skills to the edge. Built from scratch with completely new mechanics, multiple game modes, insane visuals, and buttery-smooth gunplay.
Indie studios are the future of web3 gaming and Morra Games is leading the way. It’s time we hype this properly.
Karnak Legacy has grown from a simple gameplay concept into a rich, powerful lore blending survival, corporate espionage, inheritance, scientific breakthroughs, and a mystical organization sworn to protect the last secrets of an ancient civilization.
The story is so compelling it could easily be turned into a book or movie series and it would be a great experience. We’re also considering adding a campaign mode to Karnak Legacy, where players can dive into the story through a dedicated single-player adventure but that’s a journey for another day.
