@trsrpc It’s more that we want the cutting edge of turn-based, a game that takes the genre to new heights (like E33 just did, like FF used to do), rather than low budget throwbacks.

Square Enix not doing the former shows that they DON’T value turn-based that much anymore.

@app_settings They’ll make a knockoff that gets 80% of the way, and most won’t notice the missing 20%. Not everyone cares as much about the 20%. Many couldn’t even care less about the 80%.

@GenePark @Darkshaman98 I think you’re the one not getting it. What’s subjective is the style of games one enjoys. They’re saying that if this is the kind of game you like, then you will love it because it’s *objectively* a masterpiece. This kind of claim should be extremely rare.

@Bucky_cm I think @mistwalker is missing a golden opportunity by not porting this on modern platforms, especially PC. Once everyone finishes Expedition 33, this game would be suitable for satisfying the craving for more of such an experience.

@FooForFun @TheDragoonQueen I agree. The story is meant to be continued without interruption. Side quests are for expanding the lore. I think you should do the main side quests though (like the ones marked on the map).
