This January, we’ll spend a week in the mountains of Lombardia, Italy, at the beautiful Rifugio Madonna delle Nevi. The stunning landscapes will enhance our immersion in the diverse topics of Complexity Science. Fingers crossed for snow! 🏔️

Day 5 completed!
On the final day, our participants presented the projects they had been working on all week. Seeing the progress and excitement was a great way to end a deeply inspiring week. Thank you all!
We'll definitely be running the event again next year, so stay tuned!
Day 2 complete!
@DetlefvanVuuren & @IreMonasterolo gave fantastic keynotes on mitigation modelling and climate stress tests, followed by a panel discussion w @anne_kervers, @ErnstKuiper, E. van der Linden, & E. Fantozzi.
Slides will be shared soon :) We're excited for tomorrow!
Day 1 complete!
@DrPaulBehrens gave a fantastic keynote on understanding our interconnected crises from a complex systems perspective.
After lunch in the Amsterdam sun @UvA_IAS, our 40 amazing participants brainstormed projects to work on.
We're excited about what lies ahead!
It's today! It's today!
📢📢APPLICATIONS ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN📢📢
You can find the application form on our website (https://t.co/KvF7WCzQRs).
Applications will be open until October 20th.
@HamidrezaJamal9 Unfortunately, not. I'm not sure whether it's available in MATLAB. Otherwise, you can of course use JASP, which requires no additional programming experience :)
We have a new preprint to share 🥳🆘
A tutorial on the Bayesian analysis of cross-sectional networks
Why should you conduct your network analysis in a Bayesian framework? 🧵
Current network modelling approaches need to consider proper uncertainty quantification, for example, through adopting the Bayesian framework, says @karoline_huth#ICoUMH
Next up we have @karoline_huth from @UMH_UvA "Environmental influences & subgroup differences in alcohol use disorder & depression"
This work focuses particularly on ethnic & socioeconomic factors #ICoUMH
Registration for the 2023 edition of the Winter Workshop on Complex Systems is open! The deadline for applications is on October 10th.
