Do you know the whereabouts of wanted Murder suspect, Angel Gomez Montanez (11-18-04, photo attached)?

On Thursday, June 12, 2025 at approximately 10:11 PM, @HCSOTexas District 1 Patrol Deputies were dispatched to a shooting call in the 17000 block of Butte Creek Road.

On arrival, deputies located the victim, 18-year-old Christopher Rodriguez Lara, unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS personnel responded to the location and pronounced Rodriguez Lara deceased.

Homicide and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and conducted the preliminary investigation. Detectives learned the shooting stemmed from an argument occurring between Gomez Montanez and Rodriguez Lara about rent payment.        

After reviewing the details, Angel Gomez Montanez, DOB: 01/18/2004 (21) was charged with Murder in the shooting death of Christopher Rodriguez Lara. Angel is currently at large and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.     

Anyone with information regarding this case or the location of Angel Gomez Montanez is urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit at [phone] or Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-TIPS (8477).
