A:5 All of the books by Linda Dorn we have used, such as Interventions that Work, Apprentinceship in Literacy, and Scaffolding Young Writers would be great resources. #carverchat @GWCarverES
A:4 I would like to learn better ways to work with kids with visual impairments and how I can help assist them in their learning. #carverchat @GWCarverES
A:3 Giving my kids opportunities to apply what they learned independently is the best way for them to transition. If I set the expectation for them to try and that it’s ok to fail, then can learn from that. #carverchat @GWCarverES
A:1 I use modeling to begin with, but then co-creating charts and then getting them to write independently about their thinking. #carverchat @GWCarverES
Intro: I’m a 2nd grade teacher at Carver and to me scaffolding is like gradual release of responsibility. You start off by modeling and then gradually give them more responsibility until they are independent. #carverchat@GWCarver
Inferring was going on in our room today while trying to figure out what 100 items they brought. Some even shared their yummies! #100days#gwcstrong @GWCarverES
Our stores are open for business! These kids have designed and made their items, created their commercials, and are now FINALLY shopping! #gwcstrong @GWCarverES
