Congratulations to NASA and everyone whose hard work made Perseverance’s historic landing possible. Today proved once again that with the power of science and American ingenuity, nothing is beyond the realm of possibility.
Congrats to @NASAJPL on landing @MarsPersevere today! Looking forward to seeing what this mission uncovers—and proud our administration invested in this effort eight years ago to help continue America’s rich tradition of exploration and discovery.
There is speculation that the SEIS instrument may actually record the small thump caused by #Perseverance landing... which would make it the first time that a seismometer has recorded traffic noise on a planet other than Earth.
All good things must come to an end. So incredibly proud of my friend @gserratomarks for finishing her PhD. Check out her thesis defense today, I'm sure it will be fantastic!
