@TheEvilDM I DMed a GURPS WW2 campaign for 3 years.
I created a fictional multinational (allied) commando unit and ran them through Operations Torch, Husky, Market Garden and a fictional version of Operation Paperclip (in advance of the real one).
Heavy casualties.
@osgamer74 I've always associated the D6 with board games, which is what I played before RPGs became a thing.
Being the default die for most of western history in terms of games helped make it "boring"...common.
@osgamer74 And hey, I get very similar problems here.
DTRPG charges 40+ dollars for EACH book shipped. It's why I only buy from them when I visit the US.
@TheEvilDM I don't know man.
Almost every single RPG channel has recently turned their thumbnails into a "tones of brown" mess that makes every channel look basically the same. I guess everyone started using the same most recent AI hallucination.
Feels like slop to me.
@GrampsToolshed BRP and it's not close.
Hero is too complex for what it delivers, Savage Worlds is ok, GURPS does some things extremely well and others very poorly (Supers is AWFUL).
BRP is able to do any sort of campaign you want and be one of if not the best at that specific campaign type.
@SandyofCthulhu@TakketyTam The picture above is clearly from someone who's never actually BEEN to Italy or, went only to super luxury restaurants where portion size is less emphasized.
Their pasta plates are freaking enormous and would make most American restaurants look silly by comparison. And cheaper.
@shuff_bomb It's good.
That being said, I recommend it to no one. Simply way too many words for the actual amount of story delivered.
Could have EASILY been a 5-book series.
@g0dm4chine I'm just gonna join the chorus and say get it, then use the BTAU mod (formerly known as BTA 3062).
Without the mod this is a decent game. With the mod (which is actually a huge modpack that installs itself) this is easily one the best games ever made, and the best Battletech one
@SandyofCthulhu@AtheistTakes He stopped being a socialist eventually, showing a capacity for enlightenment.
The fact that people don't like his attacks on religion has a lot to do with those attacks' effectiveness.
