Let winter arrive, Ethanol is going to create one of the biggest problems in high-altitude regions, and hardly anyone is talking about it.
After 15 years in motorsport and travelling across the Himalayas, I can say this in written. Let winter arrive, and places like Leh, Spiti, and other parts of Himachal will face the real impact.
At temperatures touching -30°C in Spiti, even normal petrol used to struggle. We often carried octane boosters to improve cold-weather performance. Petrol was still more reliable than diesel, which could gel in extreme conditions.
Now imagine fuel that absorbs moisture. In freezing temperatures, that moisture can freeze, restrict fuel flow, block fuel lines, crack pipes, and prevent ignition altogether. A vehicle can become completely immobile when it’s needed the most.
For nearly six months every year, people in these regions depend on petrol vehicles for medical emergencies, essential supplies, and daily life. Fuel isn’t a luxury there it’s a lifeline.
This is a serious technical issue that nobody seems to be discussing today. People will only realise & suffer the consequences when winter arrives!! ☺️🙏🏻

@TVMohandasPai@501_India@OfficeofHSP The problem with this govt is they are not willing to listen to anything !!!

The Right Wing and Left Wing are united against E20, demanding E10 for older cars.
If only we could show the same unity for affordable quality education, accountability against corruption, and better road safety.
Development collapsed in Jaipur.
This is not just a road caving in. This is the entire urban planning system exposing itself.
Citizens pay taxes, tolls, parking charges, property tax and endless fees and in return, roads in the middle of the city are sinking like the ground beneath them was never checked.
Smart City boards are everywhere.
Development ads are everywhere.
Leader speeches are everywhere.
But one failure in drainage, sewerage or construction quality and the road disappears into the earth.
Simple questions:
Who built this road?
Who checked the quality?
Who inspected the drainage and sewer lines?
Who certified it as safe?
Who would be responsible if a vehicle or person had fallen in?
Before calling Jaipur a world-class city, at least make sure its roads can stay on the ground.
This is not a pothole.
This is a public display of corruption, poor engineering and failed civic accountability.

Gadkari ji has achieved something historic.
He talks about ethanol so much that even roads have started dissolving like they were mixed in alcohol.
This is reportedly the road to Delhi-Mumbai Highway and the surface looks like it resigned before the monsoon even joined duty.
Before giving lectures on flex-fuel, hydrogen, ethanol and future mobility, please answer one basic question:
Can your roads handle a normal tyre?
Because right now, cars don’t need ethanol.
They need courage.
Highway Ministry has become a TED Talk department:
Speech: America-level roads.
Ground reality: Pothole safari.
Toll: Singapore level.
Road quality: Temporary election tent.
Gadkari ji, stop selling dreams of ethanol rockets.
First build roads that don’t melt, peel and crumble like papad.

Tamil Nadu's GDP percapita is more than Vietnam. But the look and feel of Vietnam is in a different league. Urban planning, cleanliness, waste management - are some of the areas we thoroughly lack.
Tamil Nadu government has initiated efforts to improve this situation.
Now it has been mandated that from commissioners to joint commissioners to zonal officials- they have to be personally in the field before 7 in the morning to monitor conservancy work.
