I forget everyone's birthday.
So I am building my first Mac app that reads my old WhatsApp "happy bday" texts and turns the message dates back into a calendar. One scan found 56 birthdays hiding in my chats.
Fully offline. Now I just need a better name (Reply!)

@CausalFlops28 ๐ 12 products in 12 months, https://t.co/IXmy9WbDR8 style. Working on Wishback, it finds birthdays and anniversaries hiding in your social apps, adds them to your calendar automatically.
@scottianimus ๐ Doing a levels.io-style 12-in-12. Working on my first: Wishback, pulls important dates (birthdays, anniversaries) out of your social apps and syncs them to your calendar so you stop forgetting.
@robiartec Built something close, an agent that reads the posting, tailors the CV and cover letter, logs it to a tracker so I stop re-doing the same things. The tedious 80% of applying was never the writing, it was the repetition. Good to see it open sourced.
I've spent more time planning products than shipping them. Done with that.
12 products in 12 months. One a month, in public. Some will flop. You'll watch it happen in real time.
Product 1 goes live this month.
During my early days at OYO, nearly 80% of the VCs I wrote to rejected me.
As an entrepreneur you are going to face rejection most of the time, get used to it. But the few moments where people are willing to give you time, are the ones that matter. Make the most of them.
Itโs smart to take help of a pessimist to find your blind spots in an idea you feel very confident about.
Thatโs the only good use of them I have found so far.
