A YOUNG WOMAN WARNED AFTER CREATING A NUISANCE ON AN MTC BUS
A young woman was questioned and let off by the Kumaran Nagar police after she created a ruckus while travelling on an MTC bus from Koyambedu to Kilambakkam and sat on the dashboard of the moving vehicle near Ashok Nagar bus terminus in the wee hours on Tuesday. The video went viral on social media.
The woman, whose identity was not revealed and who was in her early 20s, was seen sitting cross-legged on the front dashboard while holding a mobile phone and arguing with the driver and conductor. She was also heard speaking incoherently.
According to passengers, the woman had been involved in an argument inside the bus and had used abusive language. The dispute escalated into an altercation with another woman passenger who questioned her behaviour.
Passengers found it difficult to control the woman and asked the driver to take the bus to a police station. Transport running staff handed her over to Kumaran Nagar police near the Ashok Nagar bus terminus.
Police conducted an inquiry and summoned the woman's parents. After warning her about the dangers of obstructing the driver and creating a disturbance inside a moving bus, police sent her home with her parents.

They don't know the history behind Mettur Dam, where people from nearly 26 villages including Nayamabadi were displaced and those villages were submerged under the Mettur Dam. It is a well-known fact that during periods when the dam runs dry, the temples and churches from those villages can still be seen.
