@coin_invader@AndyBxxx@CaoYi_MFA Any country where you can get beaten to the ground by a mob of police for lighting a candle on the anniversary of a massacre of its citizens by the government has no ground to lecture the world on freedom.
We can disagree with our leaders, and if they fail us we can replace them
When people said to you @KremlinRussia_E. to make love not war, this was *not* the implied direction. I suppose its another one for the international courts... #RussianWarCrimes
@Reuters The black eye the Russian federation will carry for the next few years will be as strong a deterrent as anything else. Any government, particularly one as concerned about "face" like Xi regime will rattle the cage, but no more. Ukraine has shown a nation can make the cost pyrrhic
China won't condemn the invasion of Ukraine because to condemn it would cast shame on their their treatment of Uyghurs, Tibet, Taiwan or their own repressed populace.
Its not about right and wrong, its about not wanting to look in the cracked mirror and see what stared back.
Every country is run, at its core, by basket-cases. However the American model is as a broken and fractured as an angsty family Christmas meal gathering.
It strikes me that if oil permits had use-or-lose terms attached, this situation would self-solve pretty quickly? America is a strange place - every bit as backward as Russia and Eastern Europe, but in its own special way.
Psaki: What additional permits do they need? The leases are there. The permits are there. I donโt think they need an embroidered invitation to drill. That is their oil company.
@Reuters Yeah, they never thought they'd get a early 2022 lift from sales to a full blown invasion army. However the stiff competition with Puma is really breaking them down in the field.
According to https://t.co/6WfkZ6xp4K the Russian convoy has still not reached Kyiv, as we head into day 14 of the Russia war of invasion against Ukraine.
Russian news is on an epic journey of discovery. Lets recap the week from their "truthgineering" team, we've got:
- Dirty Bombs!
- Bio Warfare
- Donbas Invasion Plan
It's a shame that Russia hasn't discovered the nearest
@Michelin dealer though. #PutinsWar#GeneralMud#Ukraine
@vtchakarova We've gotta be making Russia ache a bit if they're asking China to push back. There's probably an acute awareness that all of the product Russia makes would get dumped into the CN market or Africa at cut prices.
Guess sanctions are Putins weakness, after all.
@ErrantStrategry @Kat_Missouri @donachaidh I disagree he's nowhere near the end - they've dropped the De-Nazification nonsense, and the requirement now is to make the de-facto situation (Crimea and the two territories) the rule. NATO probably wont happen anyway.
Its not a great deal for either side, good peace never is.
@thefrancoturk Also, Poland is wearing most of the humanitarian and societal cost of this war, almost singlehandedly - so it's an appeal to collective conscience. A MIG-swap like this gives Ukraines familiar airframes, and relies on mid-term backfills to ensure mutual security.
@thefrancoturk Very clear reason why not a direct donation - Poland can't make new planes itself, so an accomodation from the states to replace/backfill them means that Poland can wear the defensive gap this confident that they'll not be left dry
Conversely, America has no MIGS to provide.
Is @RT_com dead? I was hoping to read more baseless lies or misrepresentations of reality from Putins mouthpiece, but I'm guessing @YourAnonNews has put the site on a "Special Maintenance Operation" for a bit... #Russia#invasion#Propaganda
