@GodwinTOKO When the genius are silent, the monster will pick up arms and take over this world, and I can vividly say that the trend of politics that’s going on around the world is for those souless creatures in human skin!!
🚨 Luis Figo on Portugal immediately giving Cristiano Ronaldo’s No.7 to Rafael Leao following his departure:
“I remember Cristiano’s first years with Portugal.
One day after training, some of the older players were talking and Cristiano was still outside doing something with the ball.
I looked over and said, ‘Does this boy ever go inside?’
Someone said, ‘Leave him. He wants to become the best player in the world.’
I laughed.
Cristiano heard us.
He came over and said, ‘Not just the best. I want to do something for Portugal that people remember.’
I told him, ‘Then you’re going to suffer.’
He looked confused.
I said, ‘Playing for your country is different. When things are good, everybody belongs to you. When things are bad, you still have to come back. That’s the deal.’
He said, ‘I’ll always come back.’
I thought about that conversation today.
Because more than twenty years later, Cristiano finally left a Portugal camp, and his number given to Rafael instantly.
And instead of immediately asking why the boy who told us he’d always come back finally decided to walk away, everybody seems in a hurry to show how quickly football can continue without him.
That worries me.
Not because Portugal cannot continue without Cristiano.
Of course it can.
I worry about the 12-year-old Portuguese boy watching.
Maybe Cristiano is the reason he started playing football. Maybe number seven is on the back of every Portugal shirt he’s ever owned.
One day that boy might become the next star.
He might become somebody we haven’t heard of yet.
And when he arrives at the national team, we’ll tell him exactly what we told Cristiano.
‘This shirt is different.’
Sacrifice for it.
Play hurt for it.
Come whenever you’re called.
Put the country before yourself.
But children aren’t stupid. Footballers aren’t either.
Eventually one of them will ask the question nobody wants to hear:
‘What happens when I’ve given Portugal everything?’
That’s why how you treat Cristiano at the end matters.
I remember another conversation with him years later.
By then he wasn’t the skinny boy anymore. He was captain.
I joked, ‘You said you’d do something Portugal would remember. I think they’ve noticed now.’
He laughed and said, ‘I’m not finished.’
That became Cristiano’s relationship with Portugal.
Never finished.
Lose a tournament, come back.
Get criticised, come back.
Get older, come back.
People tell you the next generation is ready, come back.
Until eventually, something happened and he didn’t come back.
He packed his things and left.
Then he told the Portuguese people that one day he would explain ‘the truth.’
I don’t know what happened inside those conversations, so I’m not going to invent it.
But if a relationship lasting more than twenty years ends like that, the federation shouldn’t only be thinking about the player who walked out of the building.
They should be thinking about the boys watching him walk out.
Because one day Portugal will ask one of them for everything too.
And when that day comes, you don’t want him remembering Cristiano Ronaldo and thinking:
‘Everything?’
I told Cristiano all those years ago that playing for your country means always coming back.
Perhaps there was another part we should have told him.
Your country should give you a reason to.”
BREAKING: Iran has reportedly issued “Code 100,” its highest alert level, across the IRGC, Army and security forces in the past hour. The alert is reportedly used when Iranian authorities believe an attack may be imminent.
Trump abruptly cut short his Camp David weekend and returned to the White House Saturday night without an explanation. Netanyahu has also shortened his U.S. trip, canceling a planned meeting with Elon Musk in Texas. No meeting with Trump is currently scheduled.
Meanwhile, U.S. embassies across the Middle East — including Iraq, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, Kuwait and Jordan — have issued security alerts warning of “unforeseen escalation,” possible flight cancellations and airspace closures. The State Department warned that the conflict “has the potential to escalate rapidly.”
Iran on its highest reported alert. Trump back in Washington. Netanyahu returning to Israel. U.S. embassies across the region warning of escalation.
@mkainerugaba@nyamadon And yet katungi Micheal was taken to USA to be extradited from there.and now our question is simple can Uganda extradite USA citizen in Uganda??
Uganda is a constitutional republic and not a banana republic. So the Ugandan Constitution is supreme. National laws are supreme to Kingdom constitutions and declarations. The MOU that was signed between government of Uganda and officials of Tooro Kingdom is binding on all parties since it compliant with the laws of Uganda and any violations have negative implications.
It is highly embarrassing for Tooro kingdom officials to engage in acts that disregard King Oyo's will, the Ugandan constitution, the institution of traditional or cultural leaders act (2011), and the MOU between Government of Uganda and Tooro Kingdom (Sept 2026) and consider their actions legally binding.
They even think that the opinions including legal opinion of Omusuuga are superior to those of the Principal Legal Advisor of Government, the Attorney General. What a tragedy.
All actions that are in violation of any of the above are null and void.
When subjected to a judicial review they won't stand. They can only stand in a banana republic and Uganda is not.
So as concerned Ugandans who believe in the rule of the law, we are keenly watching the developments in Tooro Kingdom. Even NRA/NRM ten point programme was anchored on respect for the rule of law.
@KabandizeAbel8 It’s only politician who are allowed to eat their words!!in other words whatever they do or say can change depending on their political agenda!!
GENERATION SO COOKED, a prostitute is giving marriage advice to a girl child.
GENERATION SO COOKED, a 36 year old woman is proud of stealing another woman's man.
GENERATION SO COOKED, a 40 year old woman is still looking for an established man and she's only to offer her cat.
GENERATION SO COOKED, a pastor's wife is teaching Christians to put wealth above everything else when looking for a partner.
GENERATION SO COOKED, women are organizing conferences to celebrate their failures in marriages.
GENERATION SO COOKED, unfortunately the girl child is taking all this nosense as commendable advice.
@UGLawyer I 100% agree with https://t.co/8Dr9jYYrm4 know what our sisters failed to know about men is that men are naturally hunters so we know which weapon to use while hunting certain animals and for the case of Doreen the weapon is money and manipulation no loyalty at all!

My parents divorced when I was 10.
Dad left. Mom said: "He doesn’t want us anymore."
He sent $200 every month. Never called.
I hated him. 12 years. Didn’t invite him to my graduation.
He died last year. Heart attack alone in his apartment.
Lawyer called me: "Your father left a will. Everything is yours."
I went to his apartment. It was empty. Mattress on floor.
Fridge had ketchup and water.
But in his closet: 12 birthday cards. Never sent.
