A pleasure meeting U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Tom Barrack again today to discuss the longstanding Kurdistan-U.S. partnership.
I expressed my gratitude for continued American support and President Trump's friendship with our nation. We agreed to continue to advance trade and energy investment, and to support the new federal government to serve all Iraqis equally and on the basis of the Constitution.
We stressed the urgency of reactivating the Kurdistan Parliament and forming a new KRG cabinet to move past the current political stalemate.
My message to the youth of Kurdistan: Dream big and aim high. No dream or goal is impossible if you are willing to work for it.
I congratulate the youth of Kurdistan on the opening of the largest youth hub. We will support you so that, together, we can build a bright future for Kurdistan.
I am deeply concerned by the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington and relieved that President Trump, the First Lady, the Vice President and members of the Cabinet, journalists, and guests are unharmed. Violence has no place in public life.
U.S. support for Rojava is critical.
In the current situation, it can protect civilians and maintain stability. In the future, however, it will be of vital importance in enshrining Kurdish rights in the new Syrian constitution.
Today on the sidelines of #WEF26, I met with @President_Arm Vahagn Khachaturyan. We discussed advancing bilateral relations, and developments in Iraq and the region. We emphasized protecting the rights of the Armenian community in the Kurdistan Region.
