Many people mad at what David said are completely missing the main point he was trying to make.
A large amount of male actors would outright reject the idea of being “lifted by a woman” out of fear of losing their portrayed “masculinity”. We have actors who literally have in their contract that they CAN’T LOSE A FIGHT ON SCREEN
He’s commending Jonathan for not only being willing to do this, but praising him for the fact that it’s not something to be looked down on as a man (who might wish to be portrayed a certain way to be “lifted by a woman”. This is high praise and encouragement for other actors to be willing to do the same.
