wanted to build my own chat widget as every service there wants to charge $10/20 pm
grok built this chat widget in 20 minutes along with an admin panel where i can signup, upload my documents and get the script to copy.
the design also seems to be already refined. might be because this is a very common feature. will be hosting it myself for some of my clients.
ofc during the planning stage the grill-with-docs got triggered so it helped with planning.
Been using fable to create a boilerplate fullstack monorepo that i can use for all my projects by default.
only friction left now is to integrate external applications for auth, emails, payments etc which requires manual work of creating accounts etc.
@smart_egg@burkeholland oh right. i was talking about man in the loop kind of sessions with small tasks and feedback (claude chat)
but for you, is it a single agent working 8+ hours on a specific task ? or a loop continuously working on a set of preplanned tasks
@TinoWening@burkeholland if short TTL is because of shortage of RAM, can they not store all that KV cache in some SSD. is recreating quicker/cheaper than loading from SSD after a long break ?
whatsapp seems to have already reserved alot of usernames.
i tried to reserve mine with a lot of variations and a very unique name (kash8080) as well but was not able to. but once i linked my instagram it worked.
anyone else got to reserve a username without linking IG?
@jackfriks Made a product just for my wife for selecting our wedding photos. it ended up way cooler so i launched it.
it is on R2 as well so no bandwidth cost.

shipped Select Flow today 🎉
started as a small tool for myself, then slowly turned into a product.
it’s a photo selection app for photographers: upload a shoot, share it with clients, get selections back without the endless back-and-forth.
built with a lot of cursor + some very useful grill-with-docs planning.
please share your thoughts

@nsanirudh Try cursor as well. i usually do planning in claude/codex and then create detailed tasks for implementation.
you can get the code review done by codex/claude before merging.
Composer 2.5 is way faster and there is only monthly limit in cursor.
i get it that india lacks funding for SOTA models but what’s stopping us to atleast have something (maybe coding agents) based on open source models.
This seems to be pure inference. the data collected now can be used later to create custom models as well just like Cursor.
are we lacking compute or talent ?
Let me know if anyone’s already doing this.
