🏇 WFA Performance Ratings ⏱️⚖️📊 – Top 5 winners from 29/11/25
💪Here To Shock 100.5 - Ran right up to his career best performances of 101 (G1 NZ BCD Group Sprint in February 2025) and 100.7 (G1 Canterbury Stakes in March 2025). He was ideally suited leading at a slow speed with Mark Zahra gradually winding up the tempo from the 800m, preventing the chasers from making up cheap ground. It was an ideal scenario; he couldn't have been better ridden or better suited, so the figure is very much him at his ceiling. The positive is that he clearly remains capable of producing that level when conditions fall his way.
🏆 Libertad 99.5 - A new peak to win the G1 Winterbottom, edging past his 98.5 from the Victory Stakes in May. He had the race shape to suit, with Jamie Mott making full use of his inside draw to sit just behind the leader Overpass at a soft early tempo to the 600m mark. That 99.5 sits just under the 100 Overpass ran in this race last year and well below the 101.5 from the year before, suggesting Overpass ran a touch below expectations.. Libertad remains a couple of lengths behind the top tier of sprinters at their peaks, but this is a solid platform to continue competing at Group 1 level.
🌟 She's A Hustler 99.5 - Ran a new peak, improving again on her 98.7 from last start. Light Infantry Man set a strong pace in front, making it a genuine staying test, and She's A Hustler stayed the strongest over the final stages. This was her third consecutive peak rating, and she took her record to seven wins from 11 starts. Although five years old, she's still relatively lightly raced for a staying mare, and there's no reason she can't improve a little more in the future.
🕰️Major Beel 98.5 - Wound back the clock with his best rating since September 2024 (98.8) and just 0.5 off his career peak of 99 when winning the G1 ATC Derby in 2023. While suited sitting just off an even tempo, the others had no excuses, given Major Beel ran the best last 200m in the field. He's well placed around Listed and Group 3 level, though he hasn't always been the most consistent type in the past.
💎 Flying For Fun 96.5 - A new peak beyond her previous best of 94.5 and well above her recent consistent form around 93-94. She was heavily backed from $4.40 into $3.40, the shortest price of her career, and justified that support with a decisive win. Fifth-up here and already deep into her prep, there may not be much left in the tank this campaign, but the new peak gives her a solid platform to build on in the future.
⚡️ Yorkshire 96.5 - His first stakes win, narrowly eclipsing the 96 peak he recorded twice in BM 88 grade wins late last campaign. He led throughout and set a solid tempo that gave the chasers every chance, but he was able to hold them off. At the weights, this represents a sound G3 performance, though his handicap mark will now rise accordingly, so he'll need to continue improving to keep winning at this level. With six wins from nine starts and this win showing an upward trajectory, there's no reason to think his best isn't still ahead of him.
