@ali_sivi The plot makes no sense. Characters have no depth and zero development. Some are outright caricatures. I didn’t care about any of the characters and found the film dull and annoying. And I liked PTA’s previous movies a lot.

It’s easy to dismiss the feelings of some of the most vulnerable members of society as not real because two-year-olds cannot speak up for themselves.

But they are people. Their suffering *is* real.

@Sam_kuyp This suffering results in neuroses and other psychological problems in later life. A baby that throws a tantrum is experiencing extreme stress. The best solution is to help them calm down. The relationship with the child is what matters. Gabor Mate is totally right about that.

@Meta_Trav @astupple That is kind of scary that many young parents start with such assumption about children. Me included. After 3 kids I strongly believe we should treat little ones with respect and empathy, and generosity, and patience. I deeply regret my attempts to enforce obedience.

@MrDanielBuck I hate this parenting method. It presupposes that children are somehow wicked and want to trick us. Instead, be gentle, forgiving and wise - treat them with dignity and empathy. Teach them the skills they need but in the gentlest way possible.

@jeremykauffman You’re making a mistake. I used to make these mistakes too. But after three kids, I know it’s better to be gentle to our kids. It’s important to teach them some disciplines, but in a gentle and loving manner - they are only little kids.
