Played through all of Viewfinder, and I must admit it was quite the wonderful experience! The mechanic was so interesting and fun to play with, plus the puzzles were done with multiple solutions in mind, which was a great touch. All in all, a great time :)
So, remember when I said I finished NieR? Turns out I was so wrong. I can't say much other than it's a game that just keeps on giving, even after you think it couldn't give any more. It was an incredible experience, and easily rose up to one of my favourite games of all time.
As an aspiring game developer, the amount of insight and experience I have gotten from this podcast is invaluable. It also being made by my favourite game developer ever is a massive plus! Thank you for all the valuable lessons and anecdotes, @Kojima_Hideo!
We'll be showcasing Bits & Bops at #SXSWSydney!
Catch us on Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st from 11am-5pm at Grand Central, Mercure!
Ask nicely and we might even let you playtest some unreleased minigames... 😉
And here is the first level, grayboxed (or well, the start of it at least!). Showing some neat scene transitions that will help sell the illusion of travelling between places :)
For this semester's demo day, we made a rhythm game! We paid homage to the classic guitar hero style of gameplay and brought it to life with Arduino and Unity, it was super fun and learned a lot with this! Really excited for the next semester :)
Playing around with animations and the new input system!
Got around to do some complex animations in the unity animator, as well as controlling the jump height by just pressing space for a certain time!
None of the sprites shown here are mine, am just using them to practice :>
