FYI β the login OTP is redundant. It adds no security layer. Bear with me.
The device is registered by MAC address, and the OTP is used once, during first-time app registration. On top of that, the app can't be installed at all unless the device has a device lock.
So picture the theft scenario: the app is already registered to the device, the device has a lock, and the thief has managed to get past that lock. Sending an OTP to that same phone adds nothing β they're holding the thing that receives it.
Which is why an OTP on every login isn't an additional security layer. Worth thinking through.
