@mstreiffer I genuinely enjoy spending time in communities with a variety of practices. I go daven with Reform friends in their shul or just hang with friends who don't do shul. I'll also hang behind a Mechitza when the MO shul is having an interesting guest drash. 2/2
@mstreiffer Not sure if I'm who you mean by "liberal" but I'm decided Egalitarian. I walk to shul, have a plata and an urn. Reading books, playing board games, and having/hosting meals are Shabbos joy for me. IMO the communal gathering brings sweetness to Shabbat. 1/2
@GonyouShannon The December 25 Jewish-Muslim day of service has been pleasant. As was a Psalms study co-lead by my Rabbi and the Pastor of the church we were renting space from. Other things have been weird and I've bailed.
@project1enigma @HannahLebovits Swapping any non-Yom Tov Sundays in late Elul thru Tishrei means being work any time it's not Chag for 6 weeks. I do it because that's what working a secular job with not enough PTO demands. It's exhausting.
@Dormiyusaur@tashakaminsky It is probably not made with fair trade cocoa. Would pointing
out it is thus a product of oppressed labor help persuade her it's assur?
happy pride month to the high risk and immunocompromised people who wish they could go to pride, but cannot because the parades and psrties are inaccessible and unsafe due to the ongoing pandemic.
