New laws in Afghanistan, introduced by the Taliban, mean that men can now marry girls at any age – there is no limit. Male relatives can arrange this with other men, and it’s only once the girls reach puberty that, in extremely limited circumstances, they can ask a court to dissolve the marriage. What’s happening in that country is horrific, and it begs the question why Amnesty are not putting all of their resources into tackling this latest child abuse atrocity.
I’m sick to death of language describing women, girls & mothers being removed, when this doesn’t happen to men’s language. I’m sick to death of women’s sport being wrecked when it doesn’t happen to men’s. I’m sick to death of men validating their delusion in women’s intimate spaces, making women & girls extremely uncomfortable & intimidated. I loath this latest version of misogyny, and I despise the women who give away our hard won rights, safeguards & opportunities. Today was a good day!
Phillipson to ban trans women from female toilets. For 10yrs the law has deliberately been misrepresented &cowardly sports administrators have failed to support women &girls to their legal right of fairness in sport. No more dragging your heels. About time https://t.co/RTWN8pjMZE
Today, as Australia has removed any & all sex discrimination laws from women, remember this! Do not vote for anyone who puts fashionable ideology above truth. It will be the most disadvantaged women in society who will pay the biggest price too & certainly not men.
I am absolutely devastated
Men who claim to be women have more rights than actual women in Australia.
It is women who are being discriminated against, not the men who claim to be us.
But in a sense, nothing has changed: we will all wake up tomorrow & men will still not be women.
Women in positions of power and influence have had to make a straightforward choice: pander to activists in thrall to a nonsensical ideology and parrot a lie to protect their own status, or follow the dictates of their conscience and accept the repercussions of speaking the truth.
Just Wonderful. The King’s communications team AND the BBC team that worked on this tribute to Sir David TAKE A BOW. It has been the best week for Royal PR for many years.
