Using terms like "mummified person" might sound silly, but it's a much-needed reminder that these are real people we are interacting with, even if they lived 1000s of years ago. And if the 8 year olds in the workshops can get that, I'd expect adults on the internet to get it too!

A curse tablet was an inscribed lead sheet. This from Vindolanda was written in Old Roman Cursive script. Dated to 2nd-3rd century CE, a complaint to Mercury about the loss of 2 wheels & 4 cows.
